We booked Solar Egas Moniz for exclusive use for a work event recently. Honestly it couldn't have been any better. Not only did Iva help us settle in, but she helped us every step of the way with what were some quite unusual requests from work. This is a place that will bend over backwards to make you happy and feel welcome. We had breakfast and dinner requests at unusual times, lots of complexities around covid testing and many other challenges, but not once did the team say it wasn't possible. Instead they made sure every step of the way we were happy. Highly recommended, and great food even if you are a mix of vegans, veggies and meat eaters!

The lovely staff made all our wishes come true. The house and garden are both magical. The neighbourhood is beautiful for long walks or to drive around by car. We will definitely come back here and we recommend this to all families and friends.

After having a heart attack in Porto and being looked after in an amazing hospital. Having a stent and a pacemaker fitted, I was sent to this amazing place. Yes the House is beautiful. The rooms stunning, you can get these things anywhere. But the people who own this magical place along with the most wonderful staff I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting are truly lovely, I will never forget my stay here as long as I live: to say I was alone in a foreign country yet felt love and genuine affection is an understatement. As I’m recuperating at home, I am planning my return next year along with my wife her sister and husband . And cannot wait to see my new found friends. Maria ,Julio ,Iva ,Claudia,Barbara,Patricia,Haizia,Natalia and paulo truly wonderful people. I thank you with all my new Portuguese heart. Sincerely yours John Adkins (akko) xxxxxxxxx

We had a lovely 2 day stay at Solar Egas Moniz - the property is clean and comfortable - but the quality of welcome is what really made it special, every member of staff was very naturally kind and helpful.
