Previously stayed at Blackwattle 18 months ago and we were curious to see if it would meet our high expectations as new owners had taken over. We are so pleased to say that our return visit was just as good as our first! Margaret and Graham have ensured that Blackwattle is still a wonderful escape in the Hunter Valley. We...

We stayed here about 3 years ago when it first opened and were suitably impressed with the style, comfort, peace and privacy of this retreat. Second time round and I'm delighted to say, all is still wonderful at Blackwattle. The beauty of this property is that it is small and private. There are only 2 cottages, a 1 bedroom couples...

The place was amazing, exactly what we needed. Beautiful, luxurious cottage in a large paddock with no one else around, complete privacy in a great location. Food and interiors stunning. The serenity of this place has to be seen to be believed, and the view is indescribable. If you want to get away from it all without giving up the...

Hunter Valley is pretty special if you like wine and food - which we do but If you find a place like Blackwattle then you will have arrived in Nirvana. Its a little more expensive but is well worth it. We had cottage two (there is only two) which is completely private and with a large deck overlooking the vineyards...

Nirvana does sounds very nice indeed - thank you for such a lovely comment! We do indeed have complimentary internet connection for our guests, so I am really sorry that this fact seems to have got lost somewhere. It is mentioned on our website in the "inclusions" section and in the Guest Information Book. As it is a mobile wifi...

Our accommodation was private and as the sun was setting we enjoyed our first evening overlooking the valley with beautiful wine from Blackwattle. Overall The privacy, the accommodation and breakfast hampers were absolutely first class...We recommend Blackwattle without hesitation. Y...

Myself and my husband stayed here for 2 nights in the middle of July and it was just beautiful. I had pretty high expectations after reading through all the reviews and it did not disappoint. The cabins were just beautiful and cosy, I could easily live there! Waking up to the kangaroos feeding of a morning, relaxing in the huge...

Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review. We are so glad that your high expectations did not lead to disappointment with your stay.
