We really enjoyed are stay of 4 nights at the Villa. The staff were great & really helpful. Accommodation was excellent, well maintained in beautiful gardens. In the garden were Iguanas freely wandering around, great to observe. The nearest beach, next to the marina is roughly 500m by foot. We were there during a festival period & did suffer somewhat...

This is a cozy, formerly private home, set just a few minutes walk to the marina in La Cruz. The setting is itself is very private and a bit off the beaten path, although next to a road leading down to the fish market/marina area with plenty of restaurant options nearby (bring good walking shoes as the 'roads' are rained-out...

This is a clean, safe little pension in a sleepy Mexican village modernised a bit by the new Marina. I liked La Cruz a lot. But my stay at Casa Magnolia was marred by a lot of noise. My room was quite small (too small for 2) and by the exit to the back gate so I could hear the...

Complete privacy. We had the entire property for ourselves, which made it for an excellent stay. The property is a few minutes walking from the marina, and about 10 minutes driving from the nearest family-oriented beach (La Manzanilla). The daily breakfast service was healthy, fresh and delicious and the service staff was accommodating and friendly. I would highly recommend this...

There are no 'but's to this place. It is amazing. The things that other reviewers complain about (location, you have to speak Spanish) are what make this vacation place special. It is off the beaten path, people are friendly and helpful, food is fresh. If you want your usual comforts and amenities, head north 15 miles to Vallarta. Staff at...

You must be fluent in Spanish as no one there spoke any English. You will have to make arrangements ahead of time for someone to let you in the gate. The rooms and grounds are lovely and clean. We stayed in La Palapa that was entirely open-air with mosquito netting for the beds. It was no problem. We would not...

As others have written, the property is lovely. Beautiful buildings, manicured grounds, gorgeous pool and gracious staff. If you are planning to rent the entire place for your group, it should be perfect. However, we were just one couple. Our room was opposite the pool. There are no closing hours posted for the pool/hot tub. Three couples arrived around 10...

I spent a week at Villa Magnolia and found that it was a very pleasant place to stay. The staff were very friendly and I was served a wonderful breakfast every morning with lots of fruit. The rooms were clean and the grounds were well kept with a pool. I would certainly recommend it to anyone who does not want...
