Met with a buddy there and had a few drinks in the bar which was well organized, good food and service. Rumors that the place was for sale again and might close, a few weeks later we heard from several people they closed the place...More

Border Country Inn is situated on the SA side of the Mozambican border. It's more a motel than a hotel, meaning lots of rooms and not much else. The restaurant area is typical 1970s style, with a patio making up the smoking area. The towels...More

We always stop for a meal when I the area. We walk through to the terrace( next to the pool) and have a lovely meal. The pricing is good and the ciders we drink only R17. This "little gem" will be seeing us again soon.

This was a terrible experience. The bathroom was dirty and the handle came off in the shower. The aircon did not work and kept tripping with 36 degree heat at night. The restaurant service was non existent. I truly regret ever staying here.
