Stunning attention to detail. Fantastic food. Vaquero room cozy but dark-windows open onto dining patio. Definitely would stay here again. Hotel stay gives you access to the spa down the road. So many lovely sites to visit in the area. Warm welcoming staff

Great place! very clean, they go out of there way to help you. The food in the restaurant is delicious .The rooms are more like a small apartment, with gas fire place for the cold nights, coffee with freshly bake muffins in your room every morning, full breakfast comes with the price of the room. bathrobes, sleepers, Qtips, cotton balls...

This hotel is an old mansion that was in ruins when the owners bought it and restored it several years ago. It was done with impeccable taste. The rooms are beautiful. Every time I stay there or eat in the courtyard restaurant I am reminded of the glory days of this old mining town, once nearly a ghost town. The...

Posada de las Minas is a very nice small hotel in a peaceful village. The hotel offers everything you need (good food, club spa, library, relaxying common areas, attentive personnel staffing). Moreover Mineral de Minas is the place to ride bycicle and to get a truly local souvenir since there are local artists. In conclusion, we have a very relaxying...

The apartments are large and lovely with fantastic views, the food is very good, the massages are excellent! Add to all this goodness, the lap pool, a hotel that is pet friendly and a wonderful town to hike in and you have it all . . . well, at least for a while! The staff is friendly and helpful, though...

We just returned from a wonderful two night stay (for my wife's birthday) at Posada de las Minas and we couldn't have been more thrilled! Everything--from the room to the restaurant to the staff to the spa--was perfect. The room in which we stayed, Luna Miel, is such a visual pleasure and has a beautifully decorated bathroom, and perhaps most...

Once I got to the hotel I knew it was a right choice. I walked by the other options: El Secreto and Casa Mexicana but they were both closed so I had no way to compare. Nevertheless I was happy with this one... expect in the end. The rooms, restaurant and the hotel overall are very nice. What I didn't...

I went to Posada las Minas with my family and it is very very nice place. They take care of every detail. Meals are awesome, the thematic rooms are great. The only thing that I did not like is that under 18 children are not allowed in club (pool, spa, etc, etc).

The hotel is an ancient Mexican-colonial house in an old village with a splendorous silver mining history. The site is well communicated (30 min from the highway), and is a good location to explore the Sierra Gorda, the Guanajuato highlands and the central-plateau semi-deserts. Also the remains of ancient mining are of huge interest.
