First, let me say that if you have not been to Pozos, you are missing one of the truly untouched historic towns that exemplify 'Old Mexico'. And El Secreto is truly an exceptional hotel experience. Super nice room, great bed, perfectly executed traditional Mexican styles, immaculately clean, zen-like tranquil gardens, numerous species of birds everywhere...what else to add? The breakfast:...

it truly was! must say, our weekend spent at El Secreto was lovely and amazing. the rooms, the garden, the service and staff - every detail of the hotel is thoughtful, stylish, elegant, inspiring. delightfully chic but never pretentious. slept like a dream in the deep quiet and big cozy bed. loved the handsome breakfast served in the garden every...

My wife and I just stayed at El Secreto de Pozos during April. Pozos is one of our favorite towns in all of Mexico. Nearby San Miguel has all the flash and press and we love it but for a magical experience of what San Miguel might have been 10-15 years ago, Pozos is the place to go. Spending a...

Staying here was an unmitigated pleasure. The three rooms are tastefully decorated, well laid-out and comfortable and a superior option to staying in one of the larger - but still small - hotels here. The rooms are set among private gardens that are an interesting and attractive complement. The setting provides little motivation for guests to consider actually leaving the...

This review is long overdue! We spent a couple of nights at El Secreto in Mineral de Pozos last year. The room was gorgeous--comfy beds, wood burning fire place, spacious bathroom, and an interesting assortment of reading material. El Secreto hosts an art gallery as well. The owners were accommodating, and served a delicious breakfast on the patio each morning....

We had the opportunity to spend 1 night in December at this charming B and B. Nick ( owner) went out of his way to make everything perfect- the rooms are clean and fresh flowers welcome you after a long dusty day at the mines. The breakfast is served outside and is a great spread of yogurt, fruit and hot...

I was treated like royalty. None of the impersonal perfunctory service found in 5 star hotels. In El Secreto the wonderful and warm host, Manrey, pampered me with an excellent breakfast, impeccable service and a determined mission to make me happy. It worked.

What more can I say? A perfect three night stay - on a weekend when they were having a grand gallery opening. Not only were N&M gracious while pre-occupied -- and making me a welcome guest at the big party, the next day niCk (though exhausted) drove me through the mine ruins and around some available real estate (idle curiosity...

This was our fourth visit to El Secreto. It is one of our favourite small hotels. Since we have enjoyed our stays there so much, this time we brought another couple with us. We all had a fabulous time. The owners are always welcoming and gracious. We always feel nurtured by the special care and attention to details that they...

A friend and I (both women) traveled to Pozos, Mexico and were treated to one of the most tranquil, well appointed, Bed and Breakfast experiences ever. Rooms have luxurious bed linens, fireplaces, and roomy baths. The staff was readily available to meet any request and did so with a smile. Gardens are full of unique art pieces and indigenous plants...
