Geckos was the best memory of Coffee Bay, an area that was a bit disappointing with the roads, weather and facilities. Leonine and Roger were perfect hosts. The room was comfortable, the surroundings peaceful and breakfast was outstanding. Sadly, no wifi, but for a short stay that was not a problem I highly recommend this guest house.

After a ride where you need to concentrate (potholes, children, animals on the road) you enter a different world. When visiting the wild coast, you need to stay in coffee bay, and "Gecko guest house" is just a "must book". Geckos is a lovely guest house, with great views and comfortable accommodations. Roger and Leonie are warm, gracious and helpful hosts. The rooms were spotless, and the breakfasts were generous and delicious. We really felt at home here. From the house you can walk to the restaurants and beaches of Coffee Bay.

We stayed for one night and I wish we had extended our stay. The owners were extremely welcoming and it felt like home from the minute we got there. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will definitely be back.

We spent 2 nights at Gecko Guest House. The establishment is quite rustic and basic but clean and provides you with the basic amenities. It is located within walking distance from the beach and close to some restaurants and activities in Coffee Bay. The guest house could do with small aesthetic upgrades of the rooms just to give it a...

Stayed 3 nights at Guest Lodge in the family self catering unit. Everything was in order clean and warm.. Great hospitality and set in a pretty garden setting a short walk to the beach. A word of warning, please do not travel in the dark, as we did, the last 26 km's of road is potholed and you can severely...

What a wonderful choice. The owners make you feel at home. They go out of their way to make your stay great. They give you info on the area and help with restaurant choices. An amazing breakfast awaits you every morning. We received a honeymoon gift as well...thanks. And we were informed of load shedding times and given standby light....

On our long drive from Durban to Cape Town, we decided to make Coffee Bay one of our stopover points. Anyone who has ever done this trek knows it can be a bit off the beaten track so the best thing for a traveler at the end of this leg are comfortable accommodations, pleasant host and a cool place to...

Roger and Leonie are super friendly and helpful - we felt truly welcome and at home from the moment we arrived. The rooms are totally adequate, clean and comfortable, our shower was a little bit unpredictable with the hot water coming and going but it did settle after some time. The walk to the beach is short and beautiful. The...
