Want to start off by saying this is one of the most beautiful locations you could imagine, overlooking the magnificent lake Arenal with horses grazing in the fields all day. The only reason it doesn’t get 5/5 for me (I’d go for 4.5 if it...More

Very clean, bright and private rooms. I loved the murals on the walls. Breakfast was included and was very good. We started out thinking we would just stay one night, but ended up staying for three. This was our favorite room on our whole two...More

We stayed 4 nights at the hotel and wished we stayed longer. The hotel sits high above the lake for spectacular views. The breakfast is buffet style, and good, so my two boys and their friend filled up. I could get a few hours venturing...More

Not "luxury" but wonderful place to stay. Clean and really spacious cottages - deceptive design but each seems to have one room with big double bed and second room with 2-5 singles, teo separate showers, toilet and coffee/fridge facility. Beautiful spot on side of Lake...More

If you are looking for peace this is the place to go. Wonderful views (love the horses in the hills) and the lake looks so calm. Breakfast was out of this world, we had pancakes, omellete and some home made bread with cheese cream and...More

Hello, We will be staying in La Mansion Inn Arenal from 4/9 to 4/15. We are a fairly active family of four (2 adults and 2 girls ages 9 and 15). We like to hike, enjoy nature, water sports, as well as sight-seeing. We saw the tours listed on hotel's website and they look extremely appealing. So, I have a couple of questions in order to plan our vacation best: 1. Would you recommend us to rent a car? If yes, then where? Is it really challenging to drive to the hotel from the airport in San Jose at night? 2. The tours listed on hotel's website – is transportation provided? Do we need to reserve them ahead of time or that can be taken care of once we arrive? 3. Any other tours that are offered by other companies that you recommend? 4. Any activities that we can do on our own? Thanks a lot for your help

Hi, We are a family of four. Our flight got delayed and we drove at night. It was very stressful- roads are unevenly surfaced and narrow and extremely twisty. Views are the consolation. The hotel and staff are wonderful... More

Hello dear, We have a concierge service that can book the tours and activities for you. It is always better to book in advance, as this is high season. A credit card will be required for booking. Warm regards, Leo manager
