We didn't plan to stay there but could not resist the views and the nice hospetality of Peggy, the owner and the staff. Check out the swimming pool facing the arenal lake and at night don't miss the hot tub.
We arrived at night and were greeted by Juan Carlos. We had a wonderful, fairly priced dinner. We awoke to a spectacular view and headed down to an incredible breakfast. Christian helped us to arrange exciting activities for the day and answered questions about the region. Overall we recommend La Mansion Inn Arenal Hotel.
My wife and I just got back from our second trip to Costa Rica,(and La Mansion). What a beautiful place to stay during our trips!!! The owner(Peggy) and her staff are so genuinely kind and attentive, the food was so fresh and delicious, and the view is second to none! We will definitely see you again on the next go around!!
This is an amazing hotel. It was my wife and our 2 teen age boys. You can see from the pictures how beautiful the views are. No photo shop. Its gorgeous. The facilities are great. Everything was clean and well maintained. The staff was very helpful. They helped book trips and transportation. The food was very good. Free breakfast was very good. It is a ways from La Fortuna. About a 40 minute drive through the mountains. But its worth the stay because its so beautiful here. We would definitely stay here again if we are in that area.
I just returned from a trip to Costa Rica with my college roommates. We felt so fortunate that we stayed at La Mansion. We had some hiccups all getting there via airlines and Peggy helped us with our transportation and stayed up to greet us. The kitchen made us sandwiches even thought the restaurant was closed. The breakfast was so delicious every day. The infinity pool and the hot pool were both just heavenly. It was the perfect setting for a girl's trip, families, couples - we saw all of them there and everyone was raving about the place. I hope to return with my family next year and find Peggy and her delightful staff and the two adorable dogs and the endearing property cat still welcoming people to the area. The rooms were just wonderful. I don't think the photos really do them justice. The little casitas are not fancy, but well furnished and equipped (read cork screw and nice towels) and having the little seating area in front made it feel like a home. And the view is seriously a million dollar view. I can't sign off without a huge shout out to Alan - he helped set us up with tours and advice on when and where to go and he was spot on every. single. time. Thank you all at La Mansion for a memorable trip and I hope to see you again soon with my family.…
