Stayed here on a groupon deal which we upgraded, stayed in the nelson room which was a large room with a 4 poster bed, but oh that bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever laid on, I could feel every spring??which didn't have any'spring' in them! I didn't sleep very well on either of the 2 nights we...

This hotel is an absolute dive. I stayed one night on a business trip and I truly wish I didn't. The carpet in one room was stained, as per the pictures. Their idea of a twin room is a double bed and a camp bed, which is at such an angle that I felt like I was on a 737...

On arrival we had to find a member of staff as was no bell on reception. Was giving a room in the old stable block out back across car park. Was pitch black on finding our way, am sure I would of tripped over if was not for my torch app on my mobile phone. On arrival in room we...

We booked to stay in this beautiful building with a Groupon voucher for dinner, bed and breakfast. When we arrived the man on the reception could see my husband had difficulty walking so said he would change our room to the first instead of second floor. He managed the two lovely old flights of carpeted stairs, but I would have...

A very beautiful building. The room was particularly attractive with a four-poster and fireplace despite having been booked on Groupon. The downstairs bar area was very cosy with a wood fire and friendly staff with a smattering of locals. Food nothing to write home about but acceptable within the scope of the deal, I prefer to venture out and try...

Booked two days stay Fri and Sat on a coupon. (Birthday weekend). On arrival advised only Fri available. No apology (no offer of a glass of wine etc to make up for their error). The bar area was cold (seats near open fire much sought after) as was the restaurant (November). During dinner we finished our main course before the...

It has been 7 years since we stayed here and not much if anything has changed. We arranged a family get together at The Scole Inn, with people travelling from all over East Anglia, it was an easy place to find and get to with a nice big car park at the back. I used to drive through Scole passed...

We booked a night here for a family gathering, having had a very pleasant stay a few years ago. On arrival we immediately felt very at home. Fantastic roaring fire, very reasonably priced bar, great atmosphere and lots of happy faces, including locals. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and very accommodating to our two young children. We had...

My husband and I have just spent a one night stay at this property. Some of the reviews of this hotel are quite damning and I felt I had to leave a review in order to set the record straight. The hotel is full of character. Yes, it could do with a refurb, but we paid for an all inclusive...
