We recently had a college reunion based at The Greyhound. We received a warm welcome and were allocated rooms that were individual and some slightly quirky. The character of the hotel has been retained and the uneven stairs and sloping walls are all part of the charm of the place. Our room was comfortable and clean, if a little cluttered....

This was the 4th year we have met up at this Hotel for a weekend with very good friends. this place is special to all of us. We love everything about it. This year the restaurant had been modernised and although we liked the olde worlde decor of before we loved the new decor and found the dining room more...

The day before visiting we had read some poor reviews and were concerned about whether we should go, but we were pleasantly surprised. The reception staff were welcoming, efficient and helpful. The furnishings of the room were in keeping with the character of the hotel but also clean & tidy. The bed was comfortable. The cooked breakfast was freshly cooked and tasty. We...

I visited in September for a 4 night stay as I was in the area for business. It was easy to find the hotel with the tourist information brown signs from the main road. Parking is in a nearby public car park which is free overnight. First impressions of the hotel from the downstairs bar area are nice but in...

The reception on a Saturday evening was fine and, as we took the last room, I suppose it's not surprising the room was terrible. If it had been a cheap room I could have understood but it was not cheap. So, what was wrong with it? Well, the room was tiny (should have been a single but, like many hotels,...

Finally found the parking (which is not part of the hotel), eventually found reception, had to hang around while the receptionist (who is also the bartender) finished a phone call - which is fine. However, he was incredibly unwelcoming and unprofessional (a warm hello would have went far!), failed to provide the correct information about the car park - said...

We were going to a friends 50th and also because it was our anniversary we booked their 4 poster room 5 days in advance. Got the email confirmation so assumed that would secure your room. Oh no it doesn't. And to be honest the response was "well not a lot I can do its a technical glitch". To be honest...

Stayed here on business, let's call it a pub with some bedrooms because hotel is pushing it! On arrival couldn't find reception but lady very pleasant when I found it. Small bar area and nice looking restaurant but the room was an eye opener. VERY small, so small in fact that there was nowhere to put up an ironing board,...

Stayed one night. Rooms are decorated to reflect the period of the hotel. My room had a double bed and other antique furniture. Small but enough for a short stay. Room clean as was bath/shower. Difficult to find fault as it was a pleasant stay, Had little to do with staff, the man behind the bar was friendly enough, free...
