We decided to have our special day in Greyhound Coaching Inn and are very pleased we did. Fantastic, cosy place, friendly people, excellent staff. Very convenient location travelling from Leicester, very close to M1. Definitely would recommend!

We were looking for a venue near the M1 motorway to meet. We were travelling from Manchester,Eastleigh, Bridport and Scotland. It needed to be close to Motorway with parking available. Using the internet the Greyhound Inn seemed to fit the bill but was untried. It took a little time to figure out the car park but it was well signposted...

Organised for fifteen people, main restaurant set aside for us exclusively. The room was very tastefully set up. The menu was discussed in advance and the food beautifully prepared. The staff were very meticulous in their attention to detail with nothing too much trouble. We have eaten there many times over the years and never been disappointed. The drawbacks are:...

Very pleasant hotel with excellent staff. The hotel doesn't have its own car park but there is a public one immediately behind it. The receptionist came out to it with me to 'guard' a space while I drove my car round to it. Nice touch! Our room was small-ish but nicely decorated and furnished in a style in keeping with...

My Husband & I have been a few times for Sunday Lunch here. The Food, Staff, Service, Cleanliness & Ambience is 10*+ & is way over & above the standard of any other restaurant we have been to, so much so that we are are more than happy to drive the 30+ miles to go there. Starters are served by...

The reception wa excellent on arrival and next morning. The waitress at dinner wasof the same standard BUT w were disappointed with our room.. it was clean but small. One chair, the bed was not particularly comfortable and whilst an effort had been made to furnish the room in period, it was too heavy. Bathroom was sparkling but the step...

Always a warm and friendly welcome. Very characterful surroundings, extensive lunch menu, and the wine is always served at the right temperature! Good choice of beers too. We haven't stayed overnight here, so can only comment on the bar.

i booked this hotel last minute, via Booking.com due to work commitments. on arrival i checked in, my request for a quiet room away from traffic noise was confirmed & i was allocated a room in a little ginnel way, up several stone steps, opposite the main building (room 22 i think). this room had a hand carved 4 poster...

Quaint old hotel with lovely courtyard, comfy bed and excellent big bath towels but.....four poster bed, huge chandelier, wonky floors, beams, steep narrow stairs, no, not for me. The room was way over furnished and very stuffy but whilst working at the desk I was shocked to feel the whole floor shake as a truck drove by outside, even the...

Local to us, we enjoyed a very well prepared meal, very good service excellent value for money (especially the wine) and will be using this place again. The menu is traditional but its very easy to navigate and choosing well tried favourites is comforting. There is a smart bar serving very good real ales and a great whisky collection. Staff...
