We chose Hotel Meson L'Aínsa as an overnight stopover on our way home from France to Alicante - and we chose wisely. This is a great hotel and we'll be back in 2021 for longer when we tour the Pyrenees. The hotel is located next to the river, across the bridge from the historic part of Aínsa which we didn't have time to explore but now know that it's just a few minutes' walk away. Private parking is available at the rear of the hotel and we liked the idea that the gates are locked overnight. The twin room was great. We chose an option for a balcony with a view and we were glad that we did for we had a great view up to the historic town and further to the snow-capped Pyrenees. The beds were firm and comfortable - there were no extra pillows though but I'm sure they would have been provided if we'd asked - and we enjoyed a decent sleep. There is a fridge/safe combination, A/C hot and cold and a TV with desk. The bathroom was a decent size with a bath/shower and superb powerful water pressure to blow away the cobwebs. We enjoyed the large bar/cafetería - no fuss but serves the purpose of serving a much needed beer - and later we had a very good evening meal in the restaurant, choosing from the 'menu del día' for 15 euros; cod-stuffed spicy peppers and pasta bolognese to start + entrecôte and lamb chops for main. Delicious. Friendly staff, decent food and beer, nice sleep - we can't wait to go back in 2021. Recommended.

This was the second time we have visited this hotel. The first time we had our little dog with us. The parking is very secure, the gate locked at night, essential if you have a soft top car like I do! The hotel is a little old fashioned but very clean with lovely sized rooms and bathrooms with incredible views of the old town on the hill and breathtaking scenery around it. There is a bar with outside seating and after walking up to the 11th Century old town and having a wonderful meal, we sat outside the hotel and enjoyed a bottle of wine. Breakfast on our last trip was very good but as we had to leave early this time, a take-away breakfast was made available! The staff were very pleasant and helpful. There was air conditioning/heating for whatever time of year you visit. I would certainly return if I was in the area again. Excellent value for money!

Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, good parking (covered) and good location (close to the old town). The entrance to the public pool was highly appreciated :) All in all, good value for money.

Nice hotel in the beautiful town of Ainsa. Was comfortable, clean, and had decent shower and breakfast.Easy walk into old town and lovely surroundings. Balcony is a nice touch too to sit and have a drink if you please. Also has free parking. Only downsides for me were the paper thin walls that meant you could hear everything in each adjoining room, and breakfast is not served until 08:00, so no early getaway if you want breakfast.
