springs and ski slopes. The hotel is big, spacious, has a high quality conference center and professional ball room/hall. The rooms are quite big, great comfy beds, clean, large balcony, quality shower. There are a number of restaurants, the food is of the highest quality, very varied, tasty, fresh, big choice of cold and hot dishes including local specialities. The only problem is crowds at breakfast, the tables are very close together, guests and staff are mostly not wearing facemasks, I haven’t seen anyone disinfecting the tables or chairs either which was a big surprise.
The pools, jacuzzi and sauna area is also quite big , clean and varied but extremely crowded. It seems there is no policy on the number of people let in so there is not much chance to have a rest with crowds of all ages including small children constantly milling around. It’s a pity since the pools are amazing but there is no way to enjoy. As the hotel guest I would expect the pools to open at 7 am for the guests only and at 9 for external visitors and those also limited at any one time.

Breakfast leaves you speechless, with an incredible selection of high quality food which can satisfy literally everyone.
Unique the experience to enjoy the thermal baths with a dedicated access directly from the hotel, with even the bathrobe made by soft and warm material. Therefore, thermal baths offer an incredible variety of options to relax and enjoy the time.
The hotel offers so many services which being bored is impossible. From the hotel's SPA, to massages, to the playroom, to the disco, to the bar on the top, to the amazing nature surrounding the place and so on. It's a great place to stay which entirely worth the price.
I do hope to come back again one day.
However, our premium double suite was only 3 out of 5, very uncomfortable bed & furniture and not value for money at all. Service generally below par at 3 out of 5 and in particular poor service at bar near reception….
When you are paying premium prices, you expect these things to be right.
We spent two night during long weekend of May and were given Bania family house as the hotel was full. Family house is not an integral part of hotel complex, but about 50-100 m walk in open public road. Imagine yourself in hotel gown walking before and after swimming in any weather condition. Later we did find a long an widely workaround through -2 level garage. The apartment itself is good size, clean and with all amenities apart from still water
If you are a vegetarian then you will have to live on bread and butter. The hotel seems to take pride in traditional cuisine asif all guest in 450+ rooms will have no diversity. The place for breakfast is huge, but the variety of item is tiny.
Staff is very rude, with limit english speaking staff, if you talk to manager she will repeat what you already know and will state facts that yes family house is far and there is no alternative, yes rooms only have sparkling water, yes there is no vegetarian, live with it.
After complaining to manger she was gracious and extended out check out from 11 to 12. Very generous.
To top it all at the end our trip we were locked out and could not enter the complex as the someone forgot to extent our stay in system. In the family house there is no staff, so you have to keep walking up and down to get access
There are lot of warm pools and attraction, but not exclusive for the hotel guest. They are open to public
My advice stay in hotels nearby at fraction of cost. Take a day ticket for the hotel attraction if you really have no other town to visit in Tatra mountains
I have given two because of the location of hotel and common attractions it has
However, this is a 4* hotel (as opposed to 5), the food is good but not exceptional, as are the rooms. But the price isn’t aligned to this. Our daily rate over Christmas was sky-high and therefore I don’t consider this hotel offers value for money.
Our recent stay at Hotel Bania started with a minor challenge due to a barking dog in a neighboring room. At first, we were quite disappointed, but thanks to the outstanding intervention of Mrs. Justyna from Management, our experience quickly turned into something extraordinary.
Mrs. Justyna’s professionalism and care were unparalleled. She listened to our concerns, reassured us that our satisfaction was her priority, and swiftly resolved the issue by upgrading us to a luxurious suite. This thoughtful gesture not only addressed the problem but elevated our stay beyond our expectations.
The suite was absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views, impeccable decor, and every amenity we could ask for. Thanks to Mrs. Justyna and her amazing team, what began as a potential inconvenience became one of the most memorable hotel experiences we’ve ever had.
A standout feature of Hotel Bania is its unbeatable ski-in/ski-out access. The convenience of stepping out of the hotel and directly onto the slopes is a dream for any skiing enthusiast. Coupled with the high level of service, it made our winter getaway absolutely seamless.
The entire staff also deserves recognition—from the welcoming front desk team to the diligent housekeeping staff, every interaction was warm and professional.
We wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Bania to anyone looking for more than just a place to stay—it’s a destination where guests are genuinely cared for. Mrs. Justyna, thank you for making our stay so special. We’ll be back for sure!
