We have just got back from a 3 night stay at Fern Cottage and what can I say, I miss it already and am already keen to book again for a return visit!! The owners, Sue and Pete are two of the nicest people we have ever met and provided a very warm welcome amazing hospitality, and nothing was too...

We were welcomed by two amazing people. Sue and Pete are the owners of the Fern Cottage and they made us feel at home right away. The place is wonderful and comfortable to stay in, with both owners not able to do enough for the guest. The rooms are gorgeously designed with a Rustic farmhouse theme and are kept immaculately...

Our visit to Fern Cottage was amazing with Sue and Pete being excellent hosts. As soon as we arrived Sue asked would we like tea and scones and while we were unpacking she brought them to our room on a tray with homemade jam and butter, this excellent customer service continued throughout our whole visit to the cottage. On the...

My husband and I booked this at the last minute and no sooner had I pressed the 'book' button I received a lovely email from Sue giving us directions and lots of information and recommendations of where to eat locally; she would even book the table and taxis! My husband thinks I can be quite picky when staying anywhere and...

I can honestly say this is the most amazing B&B around. We stayed at Fern cottage for 3 nights whilst we planned on visiting Bath, having read the reviews before going I certainly had high expectations. My boyfriend and I stayed in the Rosemary room and parents in the chamomile room and both were equally fantastic. Every single thing you...

Having found Fern Cottage online we knew we wanted to stay there. We stayed in the Bergamot Room which met all our expectations and more. We were overwhelmed with the warm welcome and hospitality especially with special requests. We particularly enjoyed the cream tea on arrival and would recommend Fern Cottage to anyone. We look forward to visiting again.

Its been 2 years since our last visit and can't tell you how much we were looking forward to it. Our conversation there consisted of talking about Sues homemade biscuits and what we should have for breakfast. Once you have experienced these you will totally understand why!!! Sue and Pete welcomed us like old friends and showed us to the...

We have cooked for Gary Rhodes and Michael Caines in the UKTV Local Food Hero and received Finalist for the whole of the South West. Three rooms are in our beautifully converted stable block with panoramic views overlooking fields and the fourth room is situated at the rear of the cottage overlooking the rear garden. All rooms have their own entrances, so guests can come and go as they please. We have put together a unique breakfast menu using only local, home made and home grown produce. Baked eggs, devilled kidneys on hot buttered toast, local naturally smoked haddock with home made potato cakes, fresh herb omelette using our own delicious eggs from our hens and of course our own South West full English breakfast, using locally produced maple cured bacon specially prepared for us, old English sausages, potato cakes with home grown chives, a taster portion of devilled kidneys, grilled local tomatoes, sauteed mushrooms. ... more   less
