Fern Cottage is a gem run by Sue and Pete. Pete really knows the area well and will suggest places to visit, show you a guide book and offer a map. This was so helpful. Pete also makes a great fruit salad for breakfast. Sue is quick to respond to room requests which is great. For breakfast Sue offers plenty...

Baked eggs, devilled kidneys on hot buttered toast, local naturally smoked haddock with home made potato cakes, fresh herb omelette using our own delicious eggs from our hens and of course our own South West full English breakfast, using locally produced maple cured bacon specially prepared for us, old English sausages, potato cakes with home grown chives, a taster portion of devilled kidneys, grilled local tomatoes, sauteed mushrooms. ... more   less
