My husband and I stayed in Forra Bamboo Resort for 5 nights in one of the 2nd row beach bungalows. We liked the location, the beach there is very quiet and the bamboo huts are nicely surrounded by greenery and quite private. The huts are OK-ish, basic but not bad but nothing special also. I didn't like the fact that... More

What a lovely, lovely place! Very nice bamboo bungalows with open-air bathrooms in a spacious garden! But we are very disappointed! We wanted to stay for one week, but we left after 3 days having no water to shower, brush your teeth or use the toilet! the european staff (who does not live athe resort at all!!) was not able... Forra Bamboo accommodation is recommended if you like to share your abode with soap and toothpaste loving RATS. I guess on the bright side - these rats are particular about their personnal hygiene and have fresh minty breath. If you enjoy grumpy, unfriendly staff who doesn't care to serve you and see you as a minor inconvenience, then this is... More

Ko Lipe itself is definately not to be reccommended. Too much neon, rubbish and building sites which is not the southern Thailand I have come to love. As for Forra diving - unorganised chaos.Low maintenance all round - boats - dive equipment and bungalows. Nice relaxing, trendy bar area -but certainly not kids friendly. Nails all over the floors of the bungalows,brokenfurniture... More

This is the first review I have posted on Tripadvisor. I took a dive with these guys (supposidly the best on Lipe) but it was a stressful experience. First of all, on the boat, the gave me the wrong gear. Then, when I was setting up my tank, midway, they grabbed it away from me to put it somewhere else.... More

Stayed at Florra for 3 nights, through-out the duration we had to put up with an extremely moody host who was only nice to some girls that would talk to him. The kitchen/bar staff was good, food was decent. I recommend NOT to go diving with them.Their goal seems to be to get over with the dive as soon as... More

Really beautiful location with a lovely strip of beach right on the doorstep and fantastic aquamarine sea. Alot less noisy/touristy location compared to the other side of the island. Bamboo hut was beautiful though quite pricey at 1000 Baht a night esp as there was only electricity from 17:30 onwards. Staff were quite indifferent and lethargic and didnt seem too... More

I went to Koh Lipe for Christmas 2007 with my flatmate and stayed at Forra Bamboo based on a friend's recommendation. We literally didn't want to leave! Forra Bamboo Resort (and Dive school) offers by bar far the best accommodation on this stunning little island, at a very reasonable price, and with a friendly, relaxed, service that makes you feel...
