We had a three night stay in Pitfour House, to celebrate one of our friends birthday. We have never been into such a prestine house before, everything was immaculate, our hosts Frances and Martin were a joy to be around. We had a very beautiful bedroom with ensuite, plenty of hot water, top quality bed linen and lovely towels in...

We have stayed at Wolsey Lodges before and both have been excellent but Pitfour House is the best yet. The Georgian house is beautiful and the welcome received so warm we immediately felt at home. The food was superb. Our friends staying at the same time were equally delighted and we would recommend Pitfour House to everyone.

Most of the earlier reviews say it all. Pitfour House is warm, elegant and comfortable in every way, with a beautiful garden and huge king-sized beds with expensive linen, but it's most outstanding features are Frances and Martin who are the perfect hosts. From the moment you are greeted by Frances you feel at ease. You are welcomed into the...

What a lovely place to visit the house is gorgeous, spotless clean and lovely and warm. We were made very welcome, the room was perfect and a huge bed. Frances & Martin treated us like a member of their family, ordering us a taxi and waving us off when we went out. Breakfast was delicious, the table looked amazing and...

Although very clean and a lovely house and people, at 105.00 per night we found this to be expensive for a bed and breakfast. The house was a georgian beauty and very well maintained and we have no complaints about the breakfast. The 'landlord was somewhat scruffy, appearing in dirty old clothes and we thought at first the house would...

This period house in the little village of Timsbury has been beautifully maintained, full of delightful paintings, pretty china and flower arrangements. The bed / bedroom were supremely comfortable and the shower (which, after the bed, is always the main testing point for us) very efficient and easy to use .... and the towels were probably the most luxurious we...

Having stayed at many Wolsey Lodges, this is up there with the very best. A gorgeous house and garden, with delightful hosts. The bedrooms are extremely comfortable and the food is to die for - do have dinner, it's superb! Frances and Martin are very welcoming and helpful and go out of their way to make you feel at home....

We arrived after a long journey to a warm welcome over tea and homemade cake in the lovely garden . Mr and Mrs Hardman are the consummate and interesting hosts. Everything about the stay was exceptional. The en suite accommodation was of the highest standard. Breakfast was everything we could have wanted. We strongly recommend this first class accommodation .

Visited for 3 nights when in England for a family wedding. Lovely old house, very pleasant host and hostess and a delicious supper on our first night when we met some very nice guests from the one other room. If we are ever in this area again, we will definitely stay here. The High Street address is a bit of...

What a fantastic place to stay - in the heart of a Somerset village, just outside Bath. Great for exploring, this early Georgian property somehow creates a feeling of traditional charm within a modern atmosphere. Spoil yourself with great home-cooked food and enjoy the lovely garden. A gem not to be missed if you are looking for somewhere different.
