Beautiful hotel, perfect stay. Friendly professional staff for whom nothing is too much trouble. The food is exquisite with an excellent choice yet not over priced. I recommend the chicken & bacon carbonara, fantastic! The grounds contain some lovely walks after which you enjoy the hot tub & a sauna. Perfect, romantic break. We left feeling completely relaxed. The staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The food at dinner and breakfast was very hot, well presented and freshly cooked. The accommodation was very clean, comfortable and very pleasant. The castle is very impressive and the hotel surroundings are very pretty, rural and tranquil but next to a busy road. Soft furnishings on the bed smelt of sweat. Flush on the toilet faulty as was the cold tap on the sink. Insufficient water pressure to the shower....

We booked one night through Secret Escapes as a birthday celebration and to visit bath. Lovely setting 15 minutes drive from Bath. Beautifully maintained and decorated. It was perfect in every way. Room was in the annexe, but this is joined to the main building and accessed by an outside door. Four poster bed, luxury bed linen and comfort. Soft...

I booked a table for 4 for a treat for my nephew and his parents. We arrived to a blank stare from the guy who appeared to be doing everything including taking the garbage out. I said I had booked for afternoon tea whereupon he beat a hasty retreat and came back In to the restaurant and plonked a teapot...

My fiance and i stayed here as part of a romantic getaway to Bath. From the website and on first viewing it looked perfect. Its a beautiful little castle and we both had images of a cosy evening in an authentic castle. This was not the case at all. Firstly, the man working there seemed put out by us being...

Stayed for one night, can't fault the room it was lovely, however !! Reception was awful when we asked for an early breakfast we were flatly told ( I don't start til 8!!) Wouldn't recommend such a shame as it's very unique. The road is very noisy also.
