Bath Lodge Castle is a beautiful building and we stayed in a stunning room. We had a welcoming greeting and spoke about bits of the Castle. However, for the price we paid, we were a little disappointed in the small attentions to detail:

As you say these are relatively small complaints - pity our cleaning staff forgot to empty the bin in the bathroom, that really was unfortunate, but, it can happen, even in the best 5 star hotels. Which, by the way, all have self-service breakfast.

Sorry to have taken so long to answer. It is not easy to access the town centre of Bath from the Castle, it is a 20 min taxi ride depending on the traffic. Having a car is much better because then you can visit all the surrounding villages and maybe even Stonehenge which is a world heritage site 25 mins from us.
