You can expect a comfortable stay with delicious Japanese meals. Morizuya is near two onsens which opens at 7am, so it is also convenient to go to either one in the morning before a morning train. While we only had time to explore 3 onsens over a night-stay, we found that the best soak was in the house bath. The...

My husband and Ihad the great fortune to be able to book a room in this exquisite ryokan in October. Morizuya is a traditional Japanese Ryokan offering a warm and cozy atmosphere and most modern facilities as well. It is conveniently located within walking distance from the JR station. The very friendly English-speaking owner were kind and happy to take...

Well, let me start off by saying that I created a Tripadvisor account for the sole purpose of reviewing my stay at Morizuya... Morizuya exceeded my expectations in every possible way. Initially, I was debating between staying here or Nishimuraya Honkan. I am so glad I chose Morizuya. The owner and his family are truly some of the nicest people...

Well located, easy walk to the train station though you can take the shuttle bus on arrival and on return they will provide a drive for you and/or your luggage. Staff provided warm greetings and a clear overview of what was available in the town. We had one of the larger rooms which was very pleasant and the highlight was...

As a foreigner I found this place fantastic!! Manager has good English, private shared onsen at particular time of day (perfect to practice the correct procedure with your partner before hitting the public onsens), great rooms and service at a reasonable price. Excellent location and do yourself a favour and get the dinner option!!!!

Fantastic family run riokan in beautiful spa town KinosakiOnsen. Great rooms with private toilets but shared onsen / bathrooms. Onsen can be reserved early evening. Staying at any hotel / riokan in the town allows you to use the 7 public Onsen which are all great. Usually 1 closed on rotation for cleaning per day. Rooms are traditional tatami rooms...

This One is truly worthy amongst my 'notable' travel tales... the service is impeccable. the food is generously but more importantly, delicious to every last morsel...and i think this review having minimum 200words, before posting, is ridiculous!

Staying in a Kinosaki ryokan was to be our "splurge" during our trip to Japan. Kinosaki has some great options available, and I chose Morizuya based on a combination of availability/price/ratings. It's well worth to start booking early, and beware that weekend prices are much higher (lots of Japanese visitors in this town too!). You might want to juggle a...

Let us just start by saying that this was one of the absolute highlights of our trip. The city of kinosaki has a wonderful ambiance, and the bathing houses are absolutely worth visiting. Now on to Morizuya. We arrived at Morizuya at about 13:00. The owner of Morizuya welcomed us into the hotel, where we were able to store our...

Morizuya is only a short train ride from Kyoto and Osaka! If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of Japan's famous cities this is the place to escape to. It is also the perfect getaway during the Japanese winter. It is a beautiful and peaceful town with so many onsens to choose from. The hotel...

“We stayed in two rooms during our stay. Both were fantastic. The front Room with a view of the main street was lovely, and the back room had a limited view of the mountains. I would recommend the front one out of the two, but they were both great!”
