It would be best if you overnight here to catch the rabbits really early in the morning when they are really hungry so that the numbers that surrounds you makes others jealous!😊Make sure to buy the pellets before coming as none are sold on the island! And buy a lot, please(may be a kilo or two..?)you will not regret it!...

This resort is the only accommodation in Ohkuno-Shima (rabbit island). The rooms are not as superb as other traditional onsen resort in anywhere else in Japan. Yet, when you are surrounded by hundreds of rabbits, you won't care if the room is a superb one. The resort offers buffet dinner and breakfast which are delicious and in a wide range...

When we visited Okunoshima Island last summer, Kyukamura was the only hotel available for visitors to stay at overnight. It wasn't cheap but definitely worth it in every sense. Tatami rooms were clean and very spacious, equipped with the usual set of things, ie. yukata robes, towels, tea set, TV, etc. You're able to use the onsen facilities situated on...

We didn't have a reservation, but were running late, so decided to stay on Ohkuno-Shima. We were lucky to get a room, which was big enough for a family, with a little balcony area off the main room. There were the traditional tatami mats on the floor, and Japanese style futons on which to sleep. If you haven't experienced a...

Well, this is my first 'camping' review and hopefully my last. All rooms were overbooked thus camping was our only choice. For 6000 + including breakfast and dinner per person, I would have thought we would receive sheets, pillows, and towels, but alas no, just a pre-erected tent and a blue ground sheet. We asked and were told curtly, '...it...

I booked this hotel 6 months ahead with a good rate, around 18k yen. We went there around April and there is quite a number of Sakura tree with full bloom even is already mid april. This hotel is the only hotel on this island, you can either take the shuttle bus or walk a 10 minutes walk to the...

This is the only hotel on the island, so if you plan to stay over (which I highly recommend), you will be staying here. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and did everything they could to make my wife's and my stay wonderful, despite our complete lack of even basic Japanese. We stayed in a traditional room, where we...

My partner and I chose to stay the night on our trip to Okunoshima to avoid the rush for the last ferry. The hotel offers a free shuttle bus from the ferry port (look out for a blue bus) and it is fairly old but clean and comfortable. I didn't expect it to be as busy as it was but...

We visited last year at the request of the kids, stayed 1 night. Rabbit experience so awesome we decided to visit again this year, for 2 nights, both times in November. There is no alternative hotel accommodation on the island. If you intend to spend the night there, best to book at least 3 months in advance as hotel also...

This hotel is the only hotel on Ohkunoshima, or bunny island. We enjoyed our stay. The staff are friendly and some of them speak a little English. The restaurant buffet has a wide variety of tasty food, including vegetarian choices, but they are not labeled in English so it may be hard to tell what they are. They provide free...
