There was a lot to like about this hotel. The breakfast was great. The staff were friendly. It seemed very clean. The downside: It was probably the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in. I've stayed in a number of hotels in Japan and realize Japanese hotel rooms tend to be small, but this is small even by Japan standards. The queen-sized bed was pushed tight against the wall on one side, and since the nightstand on the other side of the bed was bolted to the wall, there was no option of pulling the bed away from the wall. That means if two people are sleeping in the bed, one needs to climb over the other to get out of bed! I felt I was staying in a miniature hotel. The bathroom was also extreemly cramped. Since this is rated the # 1 hotel in town, I doubt any of the other hotels are much better. Just be prepared for a very tiny room!

I rode a limousine bus from the airport to go to the hotel & when I arrived there it was night time. I'm glad I booked with this hotel because it was a walking distance from the bus station , where I alighted, it was only one block away. The hotel is also within walking distance to the Sano Premium Outlet. It was only a few miles away from the most popular attraction in the city, the Ashikaga Flower Park. Visiting the Ashikaga flower Park was my main reason for coming to this place. The hotel room was somewhat small but clean & comfortable. The bathroom has a bidette commode with control settings. The breakfast buffet was good with a modest amount of food variety to choose from. Service was good as well.

We planned to stay in this Sano area because we expected we would spend a whole day in the nearby Premium outlet. The location didn't disappoint us - just 5-10mins walk you will get to there. When you regret there is something that you didn't buy, just go back and get it with short distance! The hotel price is budgeted so the service and amenities were expected not to be superb. You have to take the bathroom amenities in the lobby. Good thing is they have one small indoor and outdoor pools in the rooftop. So you don't have to stay in the small bathroom to take a shower!

A small hotel near the outlet Malls of Sano in Tochigi. I used to to spend the night before golf at Asahigaoka. The room was nice though the shower head was way too low and the bathroom door had an annoying barrier on the floor that was easy to trip over. Excellent breakfast. And the staff was as nice as could be.
