Highly recommend Hotel Silver Horn. We stayed 6 nights as a family of 5 adults, and enjoyed every minute. Run by a friendly group of Aussies and Japanese, the Silver Horn offers the best of all worlds - great Australian hospitality, excellent (Japanese standard) service, some of the best food on the mountain (especially the breakfasts!), proximity to the slopes...

The hotel is directly across the road from the gondola. Town is a mere 10 minute easy walk away. The place was clean, comfortable and extremely well run. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Stayed in for dinner one night and the food was sensational and cheap. The hosts Andge and Zac could not have been more friendly and accommodating. Nothing...

I first visited Akakura and the Silverhorn in Feb 2016 as my son was working as a ski instructor in Akakura. I found it to be a great base then and it was every bit as good again this year. The staff are exceptionally friendly and willing to help. They provide a pick-up / drop-off service from Myoko train station...

Hotel Silverhorn is perfectly positioned for access to Annakura Kanko and nearby resorts and transport. Andge, Zac and the team provided the best service I have experienced on the slopes anywhere and nothing was too much effort. The facilities are well maintained, the rooms clean, the nightly cento a treat and the food tasty and plentiful. Zac saved our legs...

Great people, great location, ideal amenities. Perfect for couples, individuals and families. The staff here are wonderful and helpful in everyway. This is a great place for people who are keen to ski or ride, a little out of town to get away from the hustle and bustle and younger louder crowd. Clean rooms and bathrooms. The hotel 'onsen' is...

We stayed for 3 nights at Silverhorn with 4 teenagers in tow. The hotel is at the base of the Akakura Kanko ski gondola which is really handy. The highlight of this hotel is the very friendly service from Anje & Zac. They dropped us off for dinners in the township and to collect all our ski hire. We enjoyed...

We (family of 3) are just finishing up a week skiing trip staying at Silver Horn. It has been perfect for what we wanted - economical accommodation in a perfect location. Our traditional Japanese style room was small but more than adequate and we quickly got into the local groove of packing up our futon bedding in the morning. The...

Value for money was good with continental breakfast included in the price. The location was fantastic - second to none right across from gondola (see photo). Staff were always helpful assisting with all of our requests. Fluent Japanese and English speaking staff members made our trip easy with very limited Japanese. The rooms are traditional Japanese tatami style rooms with...
