A stately, old country house with graceful style. It feels like visiting your long lost uncle's cottage - needs updating, but still comfortable. Our second floor room was tiny, but nicely decorated, comfortable and had a beautiful view. The guest lounge was a nice bonus - very comfy and spacious. The location is stunning - on a peaceful loch with...

We booked 1 night on the way to Skye to get the Ferry to Isle of Lewis and also ended booking 1 night on the way back. The hotel is pet friendly and there were no doggy smells. The room was cleaned immaculately and the bedding and bed was high quality and very comfortable. The view of the Loch from...

Set in a lovely quiet spot and within spitting distance of Eilean Donan castle, this is ideal for a relaxing break. The house itself is obviously older, but has a warm feel to it and okay some of the woodwork is a bit faded, with window frames a little the worse of wear, but our six day stay here was...

This is an excellent value hotel- the room was really nice, clean and freshly decorated with a lovely powerful shower and really nice breakfast in the morning. The hotel has a nice lounge and a lovely view over the loch. Really recommend this- great stay and really good value.

Really good location for peace and quiet. Great views of Loch Long. We had the Loch Alsh room which is on the small side. Excellent condition and very, very clean. Terrific hosts and wonderful breakfast cooked to order. Really easy to access Skye for a full day-out. If only the host supported the "right" Manchester team, it would be perfect...

You cannot beat this house for location. Quiet, charming and old world. Bedroom was on the small size but perfectly fine. The house has what I would call faded charm, but is very clean. Breakfast was very tasty. Shower was a little bit weak but that's what you get in the UK. The extra sized bath towels were welcomed. Owner...

This lovely guesthouse with beautiful views over the loch is ideally situated for anyone visiting Eileen Donan castle which is just a five minute drive away. The castle is stunning but does get very busy with coach tours etc and it is on a very small island. So by staying in the guest house we were able to walk around...

We enjoyed ourselves very much there. The view is magnificent, the peace and tranquility was perfect. The house is a little older, but having lived in an older house - 100 years old - this was fine. Nothing bothersome. My bed wasn't quite as cushy as I like, but it was fine. I still slept great. Breakfast was good and...

Haven't got anything very critical to say about Conchra House, but can't be enthusiastic either. It's rather a frustrating place - an impressive house in a great location which could be wonderful but it's all a bit tired and rather basic. It feels as though it needs an injection of cash and love. However for the price it's a perfectly...

We ended up at Conchra House when we couldn't find anywhere on Skye at the last minute (book well in advance if you want a B & B on Skye in season). The house sits in an isolated elevayed position on the other side of Loch Long from Dornie and was once a grand dwelling. However, it's a case of...
