Lamp No Yado is a beautiful onsen resort tucked away in a cove at the tip of the Noto peninsula. We stayed four nights in a maisonette with private bath (no. 5). The food (breakfast and dinner are included) was outstanding and the welcome and service provided by the friendly staff was excellent. We were slightly concerned about our lack...

Easily the best hotel in our trip to Japan. We had the ocean view room complete with an outdoor onsen. The Onsen is the highlight of this excellent and peaceful resort. The room is huge, clean, and comfortable. Nagoyans, if you need a weekend away, you dont need to look too far. Suzu is only a drive away.

Managed to reserve three rooms to experience this nice onsen hotel with my family. The meals are delicious and the service is very good. Worth the price. It is an unforgettable experience for us. Although I have to admit that traveling there is a bit far.

The Location of this ryokan could not be any better. It's truly breathtaking. We had a room right on the water's edge. It was mesmerizing. The room itself was not as comfortable as I would have liked. There was no place to hang a towel, or dispose of a used one, and for Westerners like us, there was no place...

the moment we arrived at the carpark to lamp no yado, we were impressed right from the start. there is a shuttle car waiting for us even though we didn't specify exactly what time we would be there. I must comment that the skill of the driver is really good! the road down from the carpark to the onsen resort...

If you want isolation, exceptional hospitality and cuisine then this hotel is for you. We were lucky enough to stay for three nights in a beautiful room with its own hot tub bath and picture window to the sea. Ellie made sure that we were well looked after all the time and we had a memorable visit to see the Noto...

This ryokan is one-of-a-kind - you have to see it to believe it. Nestled on the underside of a cliff, against a rocky wall, is this beautiful ryokan with fantastic food and lovely onsen baths. We journeyed to the Suzu peninsula on our Honeymoon to Japan, by car from Kanazawa - with stops at Wajima City and a few other...

We drove all the way from Kanazawa to this ryokan which is located at the very north of Notohantou. It was all dark when we arrived at around 5:30 p.m. Thanks to the shuttle bus driver who has been waiting for us at the car parking lot. The short journey (one minute drive) from the car park to the ryokan...

The hotel is located at the northest spot at Notohantou, with its facilities right along the coast. The view is georgeous, and the hot spring quality is good, just slightly salty, and won't urt the skin. The service is outstading and lmost every staff can speak English. The only thing we are not satisfied is the dinner because the ingredients...

Onsen - the highlight of this ryokan, there is nothing better than having a private bath while listening to the roar of the ocean. And because it's a ryokan with less than 15 rooms, it's very private. We loved the atmosphere. Food - it was crab season when we stayed there, but the fish and the seaweed stole the show....

“I guess all room are nice and feature different aspects of this ryokan.A good tip would be to fly into Wajima airport as this is the closest to Lamp no Yado (30 min drive).Unfortunately, only ANA flies into this airport and it's a twice daily device. The flights to Wajima were full on our day of arrival thus we had to fly into Komatsu which is about a 2 hour drive away from Lamp. There is also no train service to Lamp.My suggestion is to rent a car with GPS in Komatsu airport and drive to Lamp. There are lots of car rental agencies at the Komatsu airport”
