We couldn't fault this lovely house and its owners. First impressions were great from our arrival and tea with homemade scones, delightful bedroom with super bathroom overlooking the pretty garden. We had a really enjoyable long weekend and were sorry to leave this beautiful part of the country. As a bonus, our little dog, Hugo, was made so welcome although...

Gwendda and Clive are the perfect hosts. They welcomed us on the drive, Clive took our bags and then my sister and I enjoyed tea and scones in the guest lounge. A swim before a home cooked breakfast the following morning were perfect for our drive home to Yorkshire. Thank you Gwendda and Clive I'm sure we shall return.

Rooms are well decorated with very comfortable beds. The en suite is very good with the room we had having a will pool bath and shower. Our dogs were made very welcome and the breakfasts are lovely. Plenty of choice of fresh fruit, cereals yogurts, followed by a lovely cooked breakfast full English, omelettes or smoked salmon and scrambled egg...

Stayed with Clive & Gwendda for two nights. House is located in quiet rural location but only 10 mins from the town centre. Didn't use the pool but perhaps should have to work off the lovely and plentiful breakfast we had. Very enjoyable stay, they are very friendly couple and would certainly recommend this place if you are exploring the...

Everything about this place is excellent. The rooms are large and spotless, both with wet rooms with luxuriously soft towels and dressing gowns. The enormous beds were very comfortable and the views tremendous. Gwendda and Clive were the perfect hosts where nothing was too much trouble for them. The breakfasts were brilliant, lots of choice with freshly squeezed orange juice,...

Gwendda and Clive responded to my emails quickly and in a really friendly manner. We were particularly drawn to this option as Gwendda and Clive have gone to great lengths to...

Atop Lyth Hill, with stunning scenery and beautiful grounds. Really nicely-appointed room and lovely grounds. Clive had a really funny dry wit and Gwenda was gracious, sweet, and funny as well. Best breakfast I had in a 2-week stay in England and Ireland.

First heard of Lyth Hill House when it appeared on Three in a Bed a few years back and at the time saved it to my favorites for future use. Apart from it looking a good place to stay the hosts, Gwenda and Clive, came across as the sort of people you wanted to stay with. When planning a trip...
