The mytton and mermaid was the recent venue for my sisters wedding. It really can't be faulted. Every member of staff we encountered had a friendly smile and nothing was ever too much trouble. The organisation and attention to detail was superb, a special mention must go to wedding planner Ross who was just everywhere all the time . He...

Great hotel in a lovely location. We stayed a couple of nights in a lovely large well equipped room with a great view over the river. We also ate in the restaurant and were very impressed with the standard of the food which we enjoyed a lot. I would have rated the hotel as excellent except for a couple of...

Situated on the banks of the River Severn, the location is excellent. All the staff we met were good as was the service we received. However our room in the main house was disappointing. The bathroom was grubby. The bedroom looked decidedly tired. It was filled with unnecessary faded velour cushions and covers. Two vases of ancient artificial flowers were...

Great location and beautiful surroundings. The staff were all excellent and the food and wine were lovely. This was the best breakfast we've ever had in a hotel. We stayed in room 1 which was very spacious. Would certainly stay again

Booked here last minute due to a spontaneous catch up with a friend. The blonde haired lady that checked us in was welcoming and friendly. Love the character of the hotel, inside and out. Furnishings were in keeping with the 'country' feel which makes me feel at home. Particularly liked that there was loose tea available in the room and...

The setting, staff, food and room were all outstanding. My wife and son were delighted to be staying at such a charming hotel by the river. My new favourite stay out of the dozens of hotels and b&bs I've visited in the UK.

We had a ground floor room in the courtyard It was well appointed and clean nicely laid out. We stayed just one night on our way to Snowdonia. The evening meal was really lovely and breakfast was good too. Although the hotel and restraunt were busy we were not disturbed when we went to bed.

We booked this hotel from a deal on Booking.com without too many expectations. What a surprise!. The property was picturesque with great staff who give excellent service. We had a lovely big room with a nice bathroom. There was tea, coffee and brownie in the room. The quality of the food was excellent and even though it was a busy...

This visit was a University reunion (49 years since graduation!) in a group of about 14 organised by others. This place was the best venue we have used in several years. Picturesque building, location and local area. Room fine (dog-friendly rooms in courtyard). Bar, restaurant and lounge areas highly acceptable. The very good menu would probably seem overly repetitive for...

This hotel has a fantastic, photogenic setting right on the banks of the Severn, with a National Trust property opposite, and a fascinating church just a stroll away. The road outside the front of the hotel is pretty busy, but not disruptively so and certainly no nighttime disturbance. The public areas of the hotel were spacious, comfortable and dog friendly....
