Although new shine hotel is not a luxury hotel, it gives all good facilities and also It's clean.It's on the main road, near the Kalaw market,easy to go everywhere, 15min from walk from Kalaw train station. Fair price for visitors. The staff are very helpful.
Not sure if the rooms on the back side are better, but as I stayed at the front side, I can only conclude that it was a poor quality room. Noise from the trucks and buses on their way to Thailand is entering the room...More
Hotel, rooms and breakfast are nothing special but okay for the money, but the tour guide Ko Hti is a very nice guy with good english and overall a pleasant person to spend two or three days with on your trek to Inle lake.
