We got off the 6 hour bus from Bagan around 3pm. The bus stops out the front of Winner Hotel. A man associated with Winner and Eastern suggested we checked out the room there and as we had no prearranged accommodation we had a look. For $20 USD the twin share room in the basement was a little dark and...

Frankly we were unimpressed with our first impression but the price was right so we booked two rooms for our family. After that everything was great! They helped us arrange a trek with a really great company, the included breakfast was delicious, it was in a great central location and then they let us shower after our trek for almost...

This hotel is in the town centre just off the main road, close to everything, markets, shops, restaurants. We had a warm welcome, the room was very spacious and the balcony (shared) on the first floor was perfect to dry our clothes. Although the room and bathroom were good what really makes this a great find is the AMAZING breakfast...

My family stayed there in eastern Paradise hotel for four days. Location is very convenient as it is near to local market, lots of restaurants and very peaceful. Breakfast is also good enough for the price we pay and the staffs are so friendly and very helpful. The price is very affordable as compare to rest of the hotels. Overall it...

What a lovely place to stay! Spacious rooms, super clean and in a quiet & central location. The attentive staff are genuine and welcoming. The gentle lady owner waited up for us, when we arrived on the 2.30 am bus. This hotel was one of my favourites for an inexpensive Myanmar guest house. Reception happy to organise transport etc for...

We arrived at 3am from the night bus and the owner of the hotel woke up to let us in. She told us not to worry about missing breakfast because she would extend then time for us. The breakfast was very generously and delicious. All the staff were so lovely especially the owner who invited us to join the dancing...

Frankly speaking, this is not an Hotel but à simply family Guesthouse. Very Old and dirty. Breakfast very simple. I would never pay this price for the quality. Staff very kind, but usuql for Myanmar. In Kalaw you can find better for less money.

We arrived at 4am in the morning with no accommodations booked and we were introduced to the place by a guy who was waiting at the bus stop. We paid USD 20 for the first night, and USD 25 for the second. The double-bed room was large, airy and clean. There is no air conditioning but Kalaw's cool climate compensated...

Rooms were fine and neatly kept, nothing too special. The staff was really friendly and trustworthy and took care of us. The breakfast. Let me tell you. 3 course brekky of fruits, donut things, sticky rice, tea, oj, and your choice of mohinga or eggs. Rightly dubbed the best breakfast in Myanmar.

The worker offered us a room on the main floor for $20, but the owned shushed her and made us go upstairs and pay $25 USD. Room was very basic with FOAM mattresses and disgusting green carpet. PROS: - Hot water available - Centrally located in town - Breakfast included: sticky rice, egg, bread CONS: - Flat out LIED and...

“Location is a bit out of the main market area and the time I was there I was the only person. Rooms are a bit basic and have a green carpet which is a bit shocking :), the two girls at reception didn't speak English. It was too expensive for the 30 USD that it costed.”

“If you go for a budget room, ask for it! Eastern Paradise have some old very small (clean) rooms on the backside of the old building for less then half price of the normal rooms. It's not comfy but for one night it is good and clean.”
