Not only was the food fantastic, especially as a vegetarian, but the staff went above and beyond helping us with our very nervous rescue dog. The pub is welcoming and the roaring open fire especially so. Thank you so much,

I did book but really didn't have to. It was my daughters 30th birthday weekend. We all had the roast beef except for my wife who had the fish. The beef was to die for. Nice and rare and the veg was lovely. But the roast potatoes. WOW. The guys couldn't have been more helpful. Extra gravy no problem. A...

This is a small pub that serves a good choice of moderately priced quality food in generous portions. Be prepared to wait a little longer than usual and if you are more than 4, book!! We did book and waited patiently and it was worth it. They do tell you that large groups take a while, so NO complaints. Clean...

Been a couple of times now and have always been welcomed. Now every time we visit Devon we make sure we visit the Fortescue at East Allington. Sunday lunch was amazing, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
