Hotel was quite 'up market' and the rooms very nice, however, I have been to much better beaches and the large man made lake in the centre of the complex seemed to me a haven for mosquito's as we were all bitten quite badly whilst there.

Dear Roger M Thank you for sharing your positive comments in line with your recent stay at Pico Sands Hotel. As for the man-made lagoon, the composition is fresh water and sea water. Therefore, the saltiness of the water it is not an ideal hatching place for mosquitoes. The lagoon also undergo periodic treatment. On the other hand, we are situated in a tropical environment wherein insects and other species may or may not thrive. I look forward to your next visit here at Pico de Loro Cove. Sincerely yours, Maggie Garcia

So, you’ve arrived at this beautiful resort and paid quite a lot for your stay (by Filipina standards) and you’re looking forward to lying on the beach to relax and top up your tan. Well, be warned - there are only about 20 beds that are free. That’s right! 20 for a hotel with

Dear Andrew P, Thank you for taking the time to share your review of Pico Sands Hotel. I sincerely understand that its the small things that count and that is why we carefully listen to the preferences of our guests. We make our best effort to address these concerns to make our guests’ holiday as comfortable as possible. We realized the need to add more of the sun loungers, which is why we will be acquiring 30 more in April, just in time for the summer season. Sun loungers are free of charge, while the cabanas are the only ones with fees of Php700. I do hope you can visit us again and see these improvements to make your next stay enjoyable. Sincerely, Maggie Garcia

I don't know if they have such policy. Some resorts and hotels have strict policy on drone flying due to security and privacy concerns. It is best discussed with the facility manager. For some stricter cities, you'll have to get the permit from the local police prior to your activity.
