When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.

Reviews summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
Elissa Lifestyle Beach Resort boasts a stylish and modern atmosphere that captivates many guests, featuring tranquil areas complemented by live music, although some may find the tunes overbearing by the pools. The rooms are well-received for their design and cleanliness, yet there's room for improvement with noise, air conditioning, and timeliness of cleaning services. The service elicits mixed reactions, as attentive and friendly staff contrast with sporadic slow or rude interactions. Amenities, including diverse pools and all-inclusive options, are generally celebrated, despite occasional service hiccups and room amenity concerns.
While the resort's location is lauded for its serenity and accessibility to attractions, some guests are wary of the transportation costs. Opinions on value vary, with commendations for the all-inclusive experience, tempered by concerns over hidden fees and the cost of dining on-site. Cleanliness standards are high, with the cleanliness of the pools and rooms standing out, though isolated instances call for housekeeping attention.

Hotel's Favourite
We stayed at Elissa for 7 days in September and had a lovely, relaxing holiday.
We booked the holiday back in April and then after booking there were a lot of mixed reviews on here which made me worried we had made the wrong choice.
Having finally been ourselves I wanted to write a review for anyone nervous about the mixed reviews on here!
The hotel is in a stunning location, beautiful sea views all around. The hotel itself has a very relaxed, wellness / spa hotel feel. The rooms are spacious and clean and lots of the rooms have a sea view or a view of the many pools. The whole aesthetic of the hotel feels luxurious.
There are up to 14/15 swimming pools. We had a pool outside of our room just up from the Rodini bar, it was lovely and quiet by our pool and some of the other pools have a more lively vibe with music and are a bit busier, so you can switch up the vibe depending on what you want. It’s always easy to get a sun bed, there were the typical sun bed hoggers putting towels down early, despite signs saying not to do this. It never caused an issue with getting a sun bed though. Some of the pools have a food & drink service at the sun bed where they take the order and bring food and drinks over to you.
I could not recommend upgrading to all inclusive more! It’s €75 per person for the day. The buffet itself is €45 PP anyway and it also includes all of the restaurants. We had food and drinks by the pool every day and got our moneys worth every day. They are very generous with the alcohol in the cocktails too. It includes any cocktail up to the price of €15, most are under this anyway and bottles of wine up to €50. You can choose which days you want to upgrade on so you have the choice to venture out for food too.
There is an amazing Greek restaurant a few minutes walk from Elissa called Caledra Tavern, I highly recommend a visit to while staying at Elissa.
The breakfast and dinner buffet was really good! Great mix of food every night and the buffet restaurant is in a lovely setting overlooking the pool and the sea. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options too. Dinner always had a relaxed feel, never rushed. The staff are really attentive with clearing plates and taking drink orders.
There were lots of negative reviews on here about it taking too long to get a coffee at breakfast. I would say the hotel has taken this feedback on board. The staff were really attentive at breakfast and took coffee orders very quickly and drinks arrived quickly. They have plant based milk at the restaurant too which I was very pleased about! There were always a lot of staff around for anything you need. Again the breakfast buffet was great. We dined in the Kavos restaurant one evening which was fantastic with an amazing sea view! Really great staff in there which added to the experience. The food was amazing.
We had water delivered to the room every day and the rooms were always cleaned mid to late morning. The cleaners are all lovely and the rooms were left spotless after being cleaned.
The bars have music and entertainment in the evenings. It’s not overly loud and we couldn’t hear any of it back at our room. Service could be a little slow at the bars in the evening but it was busy and staff did their best to get to everyone.
The staff are all very friendly and recognise the guests and know their room numbers after a day or so. There are lots of staff around, staff will also give lifts on golf buggies around the complex if needed. Luggage taken to the room on arrival and departure from the hotel for you. It always felt like the staff were happy to help.
There were also a lot of reviews about taxis from the hotel taking too long. We sourced our own taxi company called Agaean Taxis. Easy to book on the website and then they WhatsApp you so it’s all really quick and easy.
The weather was beautiful every day.
Overall I couldn’t be more complimentary about our stay. The whole stay was lovely and everything we hoped it would be.
Thanks to all the staff at Elissa for a perfect holiday!

We stayed at Elissa from 28/7/22-4/8/22 and we had a lovely time. Our original hotel (Helea) had cancelled as they weren’t ready to open. Panic set in before the holiday started but otb found this replacement hotel which is the sister hotel. We arrived 9pm and driving in we couldn’t see or appreciate the location. A taxi from the airport to the hotel took approx 20-25 mins and cost 32 euros.
On waking up in the morning the view was just superb. We had a room with a pool and the sea literally beyond that. The beach was a 1 minute walk from our room. The hotel complex is very simple and minimalistic but very well designed.
Elissa is an adults only hotel, and have taken on the guests from the unopened Helea, so you can see the pressure is on especially during breakfast. There are minor issues that did arise such as filling the minibar but the hotel staff work very hard to correct them quickly.
We ate in the Fanes restaurant for buffet dinner and there was a very good selection of food. With 2 boys aged 10 and 13 the buffet worked best for them. The drinks service is slow and chaotic but we always managed to get what we wanted promptly. Orfeas who worked during the dinner service was amazing, and should be promoted to manager. He seems to be the only one with the sense to act quickly and get service to the guests.
The mini burgers and the club sandwiches from the pool bar are amazing , they are a must try if you do go.
There is a small water park for the kids which was great. We were ferried around in golf buggies which was a relief in the heat.
The housekeeping team especially Ernesto work incredibly hard and will always go about their work efficiently .
I would highly recommend getting a taxi to the old town, it is seeped in history and it’s so nice to see a thriving market.
Overall we had a fantastic time, especially considering our original hotel wasn’t ready to welcome us.

The reception area was cool and welcoming after a very delayed flight and late arrival and the staff could not have been more pleasant, professional or helpful. We and our luggage were taken to our room by buggy, though it was dark and we didn’t appreciate its position overlooking the pool and grass out to the bay until the following morning.
The junior suite was ideal, well designed and kept spotlessly clean. There are three double wardrobes with shelves, hanging space, drawers and a safe. The bathroom has a good supply of high quality toiletries and the bath and hand towels are supplemented with pool towels, all changed on a daily basis. The bed is extremely comfortable and if you like reading in bed, the lighting to do this is also good. There’s lots of space to move around with one television in the main part of the room and another in the seating area. Bottled water is supplied daily, the fridge is quiet and there’s a kettle and Nespresso machine. If you need further supplies they are speedily delivered. The aircon works well but it cuts out if you leave the door to the pool area open. Direct access to the pool area from the ground floor suites is good and the two beanbag sunbeds provided outside each room were well used. There are plenty of sunbeds around the rest of the pool although a few more umbrellas would not go amiss. The extensive grounds are well maintained and with so many pools they never feel in the least crowded. We ate in Fanes restaurant for breakfast and dinner every day and never had a problem getting a table either inside or outside on any occasion. We had intended to try the other à la carte restaurants but in fact the food was of such a good quality, variety and extremely plentiful in this buffet style restaurant that we never felt the need to go elsewhere. Drinks were reasonably priced too. All the hotel staff we came across during our stay we just as good as those in reception on our arrival and are a great credit to the hotel.
Outside the hotel itself, the taxi journey from the airport takes about 25 minutes or so and cost us €35 one way and €37 for the return journey. Getting into Rhodes by bus is very easy. If you ask at reception you can get a buggy up to the main gate and it’s a two minute walk to the bus stop (F12 Paradise) on the main road. Ask reception staff about the bus times because they do seem to vary between day and evening. The fare is €2.50 each way and the journey takes about 20 minutes. At busy times you may well have to spend the entire journey standing. Finally, there two small supermarkets nearby. One is in the grounds outside the sister Helea hotel and the other near the bus stop.
I would certainly highly recommend taking a holiday here. We had a very relaxing, enjoyable stay and taking into account the quality of the facilities provided, it’s good value for money

Me and my boyfriend stopped at the Elissa Lifestyle resorts for 5 nights and had the most amazing stay. We were so glad we ignored the few bad reviews we had read before. Everything from the staff, food, hotel interior design, cocktails, views, facilities and weather were incredible.
On arrival we were greeted by lovely staff who offered us complimentary back massages and wine tasting to have during our stay, we were then taken to our room with a sea view via a little buggy. The hotel had kindly provided a very tasty chocolate moose birthday cake (as it was my birthday). Our room was stunning and spacious, overlooking the sea; we had fresh towels and replenished mini bar every day.
A special shout-out to bar men Spiros and Daniel who always made sure we had a drink when lying around the pool. There were plenty of options at breakfast and the hotel also provided iced coffees. We ate for lunch at the hotel a couple of times and the Caesar salad was lovely. We also had dinner one night at the steak and fish restaurant ‘Fourni’ and had a great tasting meal. On our final full day we used the Spa where we had our complimentary Back Massages - the staff were very attentive and the massage was fab.
All of the hotel staff couldn’t of been anymore accommodating - we loved our stay at Elissa Lifestyle Resort and wish to return in the future! Thank you

Although the previous negative comments are true I’m sure this time next year this hotel will be lovely.
We arrived at 22.15 on June 22nd. Following our free lemonade at the bar we returned to the reception to be shown our room.
We had booked, like many others, a swim up room. You can see them on the photoshopped pictures.
We were ushered down two dark stairways to a dusty unfinished corridor and a room that we hadn’t booked! It had a dusty dirt patch not a pool!
No management we’re working and 2 hours later we had another room without pool but told not to unpack as we would move the following day. We were exhausted and thirsty so we decided to go to the bar at 12.35 to be told it closed at 12.30! Not Very accommodating!! It was advertised as closing at 1am! Eventually our cases arrived at 12.45!
We spent the next day sorting an appropriate room to our booking and by 4pm we had a room with pool and sea view on the south of the resort.
We understand teething problems etc. but action and apologise should have been awaiting our arrival in the first instance. Explanations of the problems and sympathy would have started our experience on a better footing. We met 5 other couples who’d all experienced the same issues.
For the hotels information;
The staff do need to work as a team and stop passing problems on to other a staff.
When you request a kettle and mugs etc. you would expect to get them.
Who removes dirty plates and outdoor towels? I had to dust our room myself!
Breakfast staff asked us our room number 4 times. There were no indication of what dishes comprised of and for people with allergies, it wasn’t clear without asking the staff, who had to get a chef to explain.
Everwhere was always covered in dust. The parasols were outside reception till they eventually got put around the pools on our last day. The stairways are dark and not easy to navigate in the evenings.
Our best food and service was from the Fournoi and Kavos restaurants where we preferred to pay to eat for a handful of times opposed to the buffet that was included in our deal.
Irina was very helpful although their should not have been a need to meet her to sort out issues.
So, I as already said, when the issues are dealt with and the hotel and sister hotel are completed with no more builders and dust, this will be a lovely hotel to stay at.
We did relax eventually and loved Rhodes old town.

We stayed 5nights at the Elissa Resort in Junior Suite with shared pool, which was convenient as you can just step out and the pool just there and had own sun lounger.
Elissa Resort is classed as 5 star hotel but unfortunately service and food is not 5 star standard.

Good facilities and a spacious resort.
Guest services and bellhops were great - friendly and helpful.
Supermarket 5mins walk away with good supplies.
Good selection of restaurants - Ok, but don’t bother with half board (there are nice tavernas on main road 8mins walk away). Hotel has golf buggies that can take you to the main road and supermarket if you didn’t want o walk.
Room was good size and bed very comfortable - had issues with pillows being too soft but the hotel actually has selection of pillows to choose from - this they don’t advertise and we accidentally stumbled across this under ‘announcements’ menu on their app or on room TV.
Spa and wellbeing - massage was good.
Cons
Receptionists quite rude - a little snobby and dismissive.
Service in main bar can be very very slow. Breakfast was average - not great selection. A lot of food but not great variation, Eg. 3-4 trays sausages but all kinda same, 5 trays omelette but taste the same…
You must wait to be shown to a table at breakfast and long queues formed… although you can choose seat yourself?
Checked in and floors were very dirty and had to call housekeeping to mop ( I think during our stay they only swept/vacuumed but not mop).
Housekeeping kept forgetting to replenish teas, coffee, towels, etc - a little frustrating having to keep asking for things.
Room has nespresso coffee machine but after the first 4 pods you have to pay for more - this should be included.
Room service has an extra room charge of 5€ on top of food.
You are only allowed to use pool between 10:00-18:00h… so no morning swim - have to head to the beach for this.
Power cut across island happened when we were there - each time the power came back on the lights in room by door would switch back on which woke us up - had to switch off several times in the night. Needs better design.
Air con only went down to 22°C and quite noisy.
Despite the negatives, we had a really pleasant stay. The hotel is in great location - main road provided good transport link (direct bus) to Rhodes town - bus stop just outside.
Car hire place on main road was easy and convenient - easy to drive to Lindos.

Please see my hotel experience before arrival to Elissa hotel resort.
Before the booking I have emailed on the beach and Elissa hotel in regard to my booking and my concerns on weather it will be be completely ready before my arrival. I’ve called the hotel 3 times prior to my arrival and they have assured me everything will be finish and all facility will be open clearly the hotel has lied. My partner also spoke with the hotel via Instagram and they lied to here as well.
Today we have arrived and the hotel is not finished. The hotel room is still a building site with paint everywhere lighting hanging down no hallway flooring. No a/c in the main reception building and non in the so called gym whilst it’s 35c.
The pool view is not a pool view there is no landscape as advertised on there website just a dirty pool.
Elissa Lifestyle Resort - Adults Only
Resort Rhodes adversities on there websites this is a complete lie there kids everywhere
The hotel is clearly not fully functioning and incomplete.
After speaking to one of the project mangers today 17/7/22 he has informed me that this hotel should not be opened at all as it’s not ready.
Its an absolute disgrace to sell rooms for a hotel that is still part of a building site and clearly not ready this is an issue with the travel agent on the beach and the hotel lying to us.
It’s a complete mess along with the sauna and steam being closed till further notice. I was assured this would be open.Â
The staff need some serious training everything is 30min wait or they just forget your order complete mess.
I’ve had a call from on the beach emergency team who called me today after 5 days at 22.20pm 20/7/22 explaining they have loads of complaints with this hotel and they are really sorry and they haven’t get another hotel to transfer us to and I need to put my complaint in and email to on the beach this is disgusting.Â
You need to check your reviews on this hotel and you’ll see how bad this hotel is. Between on the beach and the hotel you have scammed me and ruin my holiday
Absolutely greedy and disgusting.

Dear Mr. James Simondwood, We are very sorry for the inconvenience caused regarding your recent stay in Elissa. In an effort to minimize your disturbance, we have taken measures for all Helea guests arriving within July and early August, to be accommodated at our sister property, Elissa Lifestyle Resort, located in the same area, under the purchased holiday plan. It is our priority to make our guests feel at home while providing a smooth and relaxing holiday experience, but it's apparent in this case, due to our delay in completing some facilities on location, that we fell short of your expected experience. We would like to thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us, since we learn and improve from such feedback. We look forward welcoming you in the future and promise to deliver exceptional level of service and a memorable family experience in Rhodes. Kind Regards, Elissa Lifestyle Resort team

An outstanding adult-only resort, with unique service quality and plenty of beautiful clean pools amongst immaculate gardening and with a beautiful Mediterranean sea and port view in the background . Even in July, the pools were never too crowded despite the hotel being at full capacity, due to the numerous pools and extensive grounds.
There are three a-la-carte restaurants with menus created by a Michelin chef, a breakfast and dinner buffet service which was plentiful and 4 poolside bars where coffee, soft and alcoholic drinks, burgers, toasts and other snacks are served. I greatly appreciated the fact that at each of these poolside bars a salad can also be ordered for the health-conscious. The food was very good, beautifully served, with a choice of air-conditioned, indoor seating or sea-view outdoors.
I would especially like to thank Sofia, our waitress from the Kavos seafood restaurant. She was professional, warm and spoke excellent English. She made knowledgeable recommendations which we enjoyed very much. She was helped by sweet Anna who had a constantly genuine warm smile, and although her English was not as good, we saw how well she noticed when our glasses needed filling or plates cleared. The sommelier was very good too. The wine selection is excellent, with an array of Greek and international wines for all price levels.
Additional facilities include a small but well equipped gym, a beach and a beauty spa which is shared with the adjoining family-resort of the same brand. Even our pair of room cleaners were professional, sweet and caring.
The all inclusive stay we took included a very generous selection of branded alcoholic drinks, including at least 10 types each of gins, vodkas, tequilas, ouzo, raki, whiskeys, rums, Amari and more. There was a large selection of cocktails at the central bar and at all poolside bars. After dinner, a DJ played by the main bar. For lunch one could eat at any poolside bar or at an a-la-carte restaurant with an array of sandwiches, salads, pastas, pizza, hamburger, fish, souvlaki, steak and even sushi. All these were included in the all-inclusive plan. One of us has a dietary restriction of extreme lactose intolerance. This restriction was handled to perfection, we noticed that at each restaurant, as soon as we provided our room number, the whole staff was aware. The chefs were willing to adapt most dishes, and even the pasta Bolognese was offered with a vegan cheese substitute or with no cheese at all. We were quite impressed by the fact that we didn't need to constantly remind of this limitation. We saw other guests with Gluten allergy treated equally well.
This was by far the best resort I have stayed at in Greece.

We arrived for 1 week, between 28th June and 5 July. The hotel as a whole is lovely, our room was a sea view and didn’t disappoint! Looking at other reviews our room had no faults at all apart from the TV and telephone was not online yet. But understandable as so new and we weren’t in the room except sleeping anyway.
The other small issue was the safe wasn’t bolted to the wall. On a whole the room and facilities where great. The mattress was very comfortable and the shower and bathroom was one of the best I’ve had for the price of the room. The cleaners did a decent job everyday.
The staff can’t do enough for you and are so sweet but very much under trained and many walking around like headless chickens not knowing what to do. I blame management for that and the new owners for under training!
For breakfast there’s a huge range but you have to wait a very long time to get a coffee which the staff do. If it’s a full buffet just let the guests press a button and make themselves a latte.
As seen in some photos yes there are some beds not planted up yet but it didn’t bother us it’s very hot there and hard to plant but there’re doing there best. I didn’t find the place that dusty in my opinion!
My main issue is the lack of water in the room and around the hotel. They did have a water dispenser in the lobby but it was taken away after 7pm which I found strange. Also no air con yet in the gym which is just not possible to exercise in. Also no air con yet in lobby!
The pool areas are fabulous and good for the young ones for their insta pics. The only thing I found strange was that your not allowed to smoke anywhere around the hotel except the beach. But everyone smoked anyway and because they're a none smoking hotel they couldn’t provide ash trays so every one was just throwing their butts on the ground which didn’t make sense.
The entry of the hotel is just horrendous! It’s an absolute building site. In my opinion they should’ve done the entry building work first and worked their way back to avoid minimal disruption! Some taxis wouldn’t even bring us down to the main entrance due to the lorry’s in the way!
As a whole we would stay again at this hotel but we would wait at least 2 years until fully up and functional (its a decent 4 star currently) there’s a long way to go to make it a luxury 5 star in my experience. I blame the new American owners to be honest! It will be paradise once finished and it really didn’t wreck our holiday what so ever!
To smooth things over they gave us a late check out and two free massages! So that made us happy!
To conclude don’t hesitate to book (I’m sure it’ll go up in price significantly once complete) some reviews read have been a lot exaggerated and if travelled around the world like we have trust me there’s far worse for your money!

We had booked since the 2nd of April (!) for one week from 12th of June till The 19th.
We had also booked our flights since begging of April. Suddenly, a couple of days ago we received an email, informing us that the hotel will not be ready due to the war in Ukraine (please somebody tell me, how could a war in Ukraine affect the building of a hotel in Rhodes).
They offered us two options, one different days without asking if we could change our tickets or similar hotel which was not mentioned which or where it will be.
They also proposed some kind of refund, like vouchers or meal upgrade from B+B to HalfBoard which by the way, we had already pay for !!!
Now, every hotel that could fulfill our demands is booked and we do not know what to do as we cannot change our dates neither our flights.
I have send an email asking some things and never got a reply.
They are unproffesional and irrisponsible.
Shame...
