Stayed at the Board Inn for two nights whilst on a textile retreat. Really good food, lovely friendly staff and comfortable accomodation in lovely surroundings. I stayed in Oak Cottage behind the pub which had a small bedroom, ensuite, kitchen and living area with comfortable seats and view of the garden.

Me and my husband have been coming here now for 4 years but my family for over 4 generations so this is very special to us. Karen and Alistair and their staff are the most welcoming friendly and professional hosts and nothing is ever too much. We usually stay in the same room which is spotless, warm, cosy and just...

Friendly welcome offered to us by the Landlord in the bar of this traditional & popular country pub. Lovely view of the village green from bedroom window at front of the Pub. Bedrooms are on 1st floor, cosy with ensuite (village rabbits provide early morning entertainment outside). Delicious dinner menu with locally sourced items and a hearty English cooked breakfast...

The quality of the food was top class and of generous portions. This coupled with friendly staff and good...

We were so impressed by the cheese selection that we decidedly to swerve the Magpie (almost an Easter pilgrimage for us) and have Easter Sunday lunch at the Board Inn and what a treat it was. Great selection of starters and...

Some friends and I stayed here recently for a sewing retreat and had an absolutely wonderful time! The Board Inn is quaint and Karen is the happiest and most accommodating Inn Keeper I have ever seen! She went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The food was a pleasant surprise. Everything was fresh and local...

We visited the Board Inn today for lunch and was well impressed. The turkey was delicious, hot with plenty of vegetables. I could have done with a smaller portion but the grand-dog was happy when we took a doggy bag back for him. We're all looking forward to a birthday celebration meal on Thursday night.

A cold but bright day saw us out walking with a mission to visit the Board and its beer festival. Very good selection of beers and the offer to sip before purchase, excellent! Not a large selection but the friendly atmosphere, good staff makes the trip worth while, I should also mention the excellent sandwiches.
