I was travelling, without access to a computer (only iphone) and when I got the confirmation mail asking for on line check-in, the address of the hotel was not in the mail. I knew I had to go to Muchen Ost Messe and looked for the address on Safari, I found the address of the Ibis Suite Munchen Ost Messe. I didn't realise this was another hotel. When I arrived, the hotel was closed. I called the number that was on the door and got no answer.... so, I continued my travel (after more than 1000 km that same day
I stayed in the Ibis Budget Munich East Messe on quite a number of occasions and it compares very favourably to the other Ibis Budget Hotels in Munich, which, incidentally, were also good, equally clean and very efficiently managed) by pleasant and knowledgeable staff. However, while very similar in layout, the interior decoration Ibis Budget Munich East Messe is by far superior to many other hotels of its class and it has ample - usually free of charge - interior and exterior parking space. I can highly recommend it therefore.. As to the location, I also give it highest marks, but this may be because most of my friends and family are living rather close by.
Decent accommodation to spend the night in Munich near the Fair and with good connections to City centre is a good base for people wanting to enjoy the City rather than spending much time in and around the hotel itself.
A very basic hotel which is well kept with a satisfactory breakfast and free parking All the staff speak good English and are Very welcoming.the rooms contain a good bathroom with shower and a TV with sky news.wifi is good and free.priçe is cheap.cons - half hour to get to centre of town on s bahn which runs late into night.only about 4 trains an hour.
This Ibis Budget is a very clean Ibis. The rooms as with all Ibis Budget are convenient but hardly comfortable but the bed was cozy. My room was intended to take up to three people which I think would have been uncomfortable because of lack of space but for one person it was fine. It‘s a convenient place if you are headed to the ICM (Internationales Congress Center Munich). Just one bus stop away - less then 10 minutes. I woke up very early because there is construction work going on at the building right beside the hotel. But it was quiet for the night. Instead of a room key, you get a six digit code to open your room door. You can use the code, too, to get into the hotel after 10 pm.
Booked this hotel at the last minute as previous accommodation fell through. Booked two rooms with breakfast. The hotel is a short walk from Riem S-bahn station so handy for getting around if you don't have a car. The check in was efficient and quick and we had to rooms next to one another. Breakfast has a pretty good selection and is good value. Rooms are clean and tidy, attended to every day and the beds were comfortable. All the staff we dealt with with friendly and helpful. Ideal place to stay for short breaks or longer.
As I expected to I arrived at the hotel when the reception was shut. I have used the automatic entry system at other hotels many times, but at this hotel the system was not working, so I could not access the room I had paid for (including the online checkin!!). After attempts to contact Accor customer services to be told they were shut I managed to find an emergency call within the reception area, which eventually got me into the hotel. My advice is to pay a little more money and use a different hotel, there are plenty in the area which will give you a far better service than this poorly run example.
Everything was as expected at this Ibis Budget hotel; BUT the air conditioning, it simply did not work. With high temperatures outside, air conditioning should have made a comfortable difference when sleeping ...
Lovely facility for a budget hotel, and very good location. Easy train transfer to the centre of Munich (15 min transit) and family card € 12.80. Breakfast was great. The staff, especially reception supper friendly. We would stay longer.
You kind of know what to expect by booking in an Ibis budget hotel. Beside, I spent nights in other similar solutions and in other Counties, but I had the feeling this hotel paid a higher attention to reception welcome and room cleaning. The free indoor parking is also very helpful in this area.
