Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Really don’t like leaving negative reviews because I would normally rather deal with an issue at the time, however, I feel so strongly about the way we were made to feel when eating at the restaurant this lunchtime that I felt compelled to share our findings. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel most unwelcome. I appreciate that we have a degree of responsibility to learn the local language but unfortunately none of the group speaks any Slovakian so we had to make do. We ordered 12 drinks and only 10 were served. We ordered 12 meals, only 10 of which were served meaning one adult and one child had to wait until after the rest of the party had eaten. Some of the food came out incorrectly but it was easier to eat what we had than try and explain what wasn’t quite right. Then as we were leaving one of the children accidentally knocked over a precariously placed vase from a low level window sill. No one came to see if we we’re ok. However, not feeling comfortable just leaving it we went over to apologise and try to explain, only to be charged an additional €20 to replace the cheap vase. I don’t object to paying for a breakage but the vase wasn’t worth anything like that! in any other restaurant we wouldn’t have been charged for the missing meals, we’d also left a 10% tip that hadn’t been warranted either. Think this would have more than covered the replacement cost. Would not return and despite the food being ok, I wouldn’t recommend due to the unfriendly service we experienced.

Our stay at the hotel more than matched our expectations. Our family room was ideal consisting of 2 bedrooms and a generously sized bathroom and loads of wardrobe space the fridge, sink and stove was a bonus not that we used them. All the staff were very hospitable and the hotel was great for having a very spacious dining room that had lots of different parts to it so you never felt you were on top of other guests plus a nice playspace for young children and a cozy separate lounge area. The breakfast each morning was really faultless an amazing buffet choice of hot and cold food to choose from plus home made cakes and pastries. The half board evening meal was very good too always starting with a different each day but very wholesome and tasty soup. The choice of main courses were good too with a real local Slovak dimension which was welcomed and always a reasonable vegetarian option amongst the three choice plus an a la carte menu too. Lots of young families were staying and like our family were very much welcomed. Pints of beer from the bar cost less than 2 euro was great as was the good ski boot room The hotel was less than 250m walk from the chairlift and the ski bus stop to Jasna Centrum. In short I could not commend the place enough.

Penzion Energetik is perfect for a hassle free ski holiday in Jasna. We arrived on Saturday at 2pm and had our accommodations, ski equipment and passes arranged to be on the slopes at 3! There is a ski hire place across the road that offers a discount for those staying and Energetik. Peter the manager was great for the whole of our stay and helped us wherever he could, arranging a discounted ski pass and some hotel dinner reservations. The rooms are pretty basic but comfortable and have everything you need. The general interior is tasteful and the dinner area is beautiful, looking out on the mountains. Our room also had a gorgeous view also. The breakfast offered has everything you would expect of continental. We ate out most nights as food is so reasonable and gave us the chance to explore the area off the slopes. For convenience alone this is perfect for skiing in Jasna at a reasonable price tag. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit.

Interior of the restaurant is classy. Prices of food are quite high (above 10Eur per dish)!!! Better choose a different restaurant. You are not completely sure about what you are ordering because of strange names and ingredients. I was missing the typical Slovak meals. Portions were rather small.
