The rooms were simple with small CRT TVs (no English channels), impeccably clean, and showers did not seem to run cold at all during our stay. If you like big towels though, note that those provided are not much bigger than hand towels as is the European norm.
Breakfasts were very good continental style with additions of eggs, french toast or sausage. The dining area then becomes a public restaurant/bar. We ate good very reasonable half board soup + main ( with vegetarian option) in the evening most nights but did try the well-priced a-la-carte menu of local specialities for lunches and the last night.
The chalet is true ski in/ski out and the highest accomodation in the resort, at the top of the main learner's slope. If find yourself down the bottom of the resort after the lifts close it's a long walk up the piste back to the chalet - best to have a few more drinks and talk nicely to the guys on the lift station once the night skiing starts! We largely ended up eating and drinking in the chalet restauarant most nights playing a drinking game hammering nails into the end of a log with the pointy end of a geologist's hammer! Throughout Martin and his team were wonderful and patient hosts.
We'd recommend Miloš Bartek for ski hire and FIS Ski School, who both have shops in the Hotel FIS immediately below the chalet.
All in all it was a fabulous and very reasonable family ski holiday. We'll probably be back in a year or two once the resort get snow cannons to the top of the mountain to allow access to the South side of the mountain as the good skiers ran out of man-made piste (bad snow season).
