We stayed for two nights on a skiing trip to Jasna. Our room was comfortable and had a lovely view of the mountain and a cabin lift. The rest of our party used and very much enjoyed the Wellness Centre, the bowling alley, the ski room and the ski transport (which was highly efficient). I had a knee injury and was stuck in our room but even I enjoyed my stay. The staff were very helpful and sympathetic. The restaurant was good for breakfast but a little overstretched in the evening (it was half term in Slovakia) and I would advise against the ‘a la carte’ menu because everything is set up for set menus (ordered the day before using the cards provided on the table). The hotel is very cosy, friendly and convenient and I recommend it.

We stayed for 2 nights and was pleasantly surprised how good this hotel is. Little gem in the middle of devastated Jasna (shocking how developers changed the beauty of Jasna and not in a good way) Good restaurant on site, portions could have been smaller. Breakfast plentiful, the only complaint is that there should be a sugar on each table. Wellness was very nice too and modern bowling lines again great bonus. Vrbicke pleso for a walk is next to the hotel.

Our thanks goes to the owners and management of the hotel for preserving the original features and character of this place. It is a rare find in increasingly devastated nature of Demänovská dolina. We had a wonderful and peaceful vacation here.

This is used to be the one of our favourite hotel in Jasna, but after our last visit last year we decided it’s time to look for another place. We used to loved it there, the atmosphere, the spa everything was top notch, but lately we had an impression that no one really cares about anything there. I know you have to pay extra for the spa and have no problem with that, but don’t ask me for extra money if cooling pool, and water fountain doesn’t work, and there is no blankets provided in relaxing area. The place has been neglected for few past years and it’s taking its toll now.

Very friendly and comfortable hotel serving delicious food. Great spa facilities. Free ski shuttle. Beautiful location next to a lake and next to the forest with lots of different hike routes. It's very quiet but only 7 mins walk to Jasna centre. We stayed in the hotel in winter and skied in Jasna. Would definitely recommend.

This hotel is located (almost) slopeside to a very respectable ski area which still had great ski conditions during our visit (end March). This hotel is quite literally a hidden gem nestled within the Slovakian Low Tatras mountains and is highly recommended for those who want to experience something a bit less touristy but extremely comfortable and fun. This hotel has been recently renovated and all the rooms are a nice size and decently appointed. As I was attending a conference being held within the hotel I ate mostly at the hotel restaurant. I was never disappointed with the food, and the service was always top notch.
The one item which totally blew me away was the spa which is available to hotel guests. Quite literally this alone would make anyone want to come to this part of Europe, you have to see it to believe it.
There is actually lots to do in the area besides skiing, there is a large cave system which has been opened for guided tours (caution for those with young kids, the "short" tour includes walking up and down 1000 steps), and this area of Slovakia has many thermal spas which you can sample. Oh and by the way, everything is much more affordable in this part of the Old Continenent: Less than two Euro for a pint of beer, and 25 Euros for a full day of skiing (1000 m vertical) are but two examples of why I wholeheartedly recommend this destination to others.
The only drawback is it is not as accessible as the more traditonal ski areas in Europe due to the lack of good air connections (closest big airport is Krakow Poland), but I found the roads better than expected so this is more of an observation than anything else. The other nice thing about the area is that Tesco has invaded Slovakia with a vengeance, so there is great shoppping in just about every decent sized town including Liptovsky Mikulas, 20 min from the hotel.

After checking quite a few hotels and lodges in the Low Tatras, which were sold out, my husband and I stumbled upon Mikulasska chata on our last holiday skiing trip. We were amazed by the comfort, well done interiors, very friendly and professional staff and great food. The brand new wellness center tops any of the major spas we visited before and offers multiple saunas, steam rooms, jacuzzi as well as great massage.
Mikulasska chata is situated close to one of the major ski lifts, but is hidden away a bit from the main road which makes it even more attractive. Unfortunately we could only stay there one night, but are ready to go back there on our next skiing trip. We recommend this place to anyone looking for a special mountain lodge experience with the comforts of multiply stars hotel, but very affordable pricing.

My friend and me, myself and I stayed here for a night, because we could book it only for one night. We got a doublebed room instead a 2 bed room what we reserved, but we didn't argue because we were so tired. We had a 3 day ski tour there (Chopok). It is not a slope accomodation, but it is 10 minutes far from ski area. The food was ok. They have a nude wellness, which is very romantic especially with your friends after 2 bottle vodka.

Dear Gerdor, thank you very much for your review. I am very sorry for the misunderstanding with the bed issue but according to our system, you were accomodated at room with 2 separate beds, so I dont really understand what was the problem. About the spa is general to enter spa just in the sheet, no with swimmsuit, it is foryour health not to go to sauna in swimming suit.Have a nice day

Nicely renovated, modern bathroom, few meters from small mountain lake. Bowling and wellness within the resort. Ski lift is about 500m from the hotel and about the same distance to a bus that takes you to nearest railway station (40 min drive, 10x a day). Children playground in front of the hotel. Take the rooms 101, 102 or 103 and you will be able to watch your kids from the terrace of your room.

The location was perfect - a very short walk to the slopes (and a free shuttle which is great after a long day skiing) The hotel is in a quiet location, surrounded by picturesque mountains and woods and right next to a lake. The hotel itself is beautiful with a fantastic spa area (amazing after a day on the slopes), lovely clean rooms (we stayed in the 4 bed and 6 bed suites which had loads of room and were very comfortable), and the added bonus of a bowling alley and bar area (which was great fun in the evenings!) The staff were all extremely friendly and made us all feel very welcome throughout our stay. The food was Great! There was a fantastic choice of different food at breakfast and very tasty dinners every evening. One evening we were pleasantly surprised by some live local musicians at dinner which was Awesome. They even provided afternoon tea/snacks every day which were always very yummy! I would recommend this hotel for its fantastic location, friendly staff and great facilities and cannot wait to return again myself! :-)
