Great hotel directly on ski slope only 10meters from the ski lift. Very nice ski bar with excellent food and drinks for low prices. The staff is very friendly, spacious rooms with beautiful interior and picturesque view. Hotel restaurant is the best in the region. Nice selection for the breakfast buffet. Wellness is astonishing. They offer special packages for better prices.
I will for sure come again also in summer

We were a bigger group (11 people, including small kids) and were surprised by the electricity outage on two days of our short stay. Because of constructions nearby, all hotel was dark for 13 hours on our day 1 and further 10 hours on day 2. Using bathroom with a phone lamp, only a small cold pool available in the wellness area, cold water in the shower, no room cleaning... Not what you expect from a 4-star hotel. The most horrible thing, though, was the absence of any sign of understanding from the owners. There was no apology, no compensation, no reduction, nothing. We went to the reception a dozen times to make it clear that we are not happy - who would be - but there was no response. When we were packing on the last day, they offered us an extra day (the hotel had many rooms empty because of bad weather) but we would have to pay extra for the food! Easily our worst hotel experience so far and incredible how greedy people can be...

Response from Lucia Svecova, General Manager at Hotel Fis Jasna
Responded 15 Aug 2021
Dear Matus M1 first of all we would like to apologize ince more about the situation. The electricity outage was not caused by the hotel technical problem but by the other construction in neighbourhood. Electricity company made a mistake and we were not informed about this situation in advance - in the anouncement they put wrong number for our adress. We made everything to make your stay comfortable - as we are cooking on the gas the food was available the whole day - our restaurant, bar was opened and you could have enjoy your time there. On the dinner we have offered you free prosecco, wine or beer, what you have enjoyed During the day people normally go for the trips and some of our clients evene did not realized that there was no electricity during the day, You have many possibilities to enjoy the beauaties of our country evne if the weather is not very good. You could have visited caves, aquaparks or our cultural heritage in the area. The wellness center was opened longer then normal opening hours. The pool temperature was 26`C which is normal teperature for swimming and according to Slovak norms. At the end of your stay we have offered you a free night stay - only accommodation because the food was served to you without any restrictions. You have refused this offer. After your email directly to hotel management we have offered you another compensation in a form of a voucher in the value of 400Eur, which you have refused as well! We are very sorry about what happened, but as I mentioned it was not caused by the technical problem in our hotel. We had a big occupancy at that time and all of our clients understood this situation and enjoyed thier time during the day outside!

I have spent a nice weekend at the hotel. The checkin was fast, room was big and very comfortable. But the highlights definitely are the cozy wellness, the design restaurant with its delicious food and the location of the hotel itself, as it is directly on the ski slope. I can only recommend. It is definitely the best location for your stay in Jasna.

We were surprised that on our stay in early August the hotel was almost empty, even though a Saturday night. The hotel is beautifully located in Demanskova Dolina surrounded by pine forest at the very end of the road. Based on several reviews I had decided to stay at the FIS Hotel but being unable to book this over the internet had to make a wire transfer to pay for the room (for which I paid a small fee to my US bank). However, we learned that $30 had been taken out of the wired money at the Slovak end before payment was made to the hotel so we had to pay an additional $30 to the hotel on arrival – which did not make me too happy – be warned! By early September the staff for the “Wellness Center” had left so were unable to get a massage as we had hoped for – so we decided to go down to the pool, but when I dipped my foot in, I decided it was a bit too cold for me. However, the hot tub was great and made up for the disappointment of not being able to get a massage. Though located in a beautiful scenic location, when we asked if there was a terrace we could sit out in with our drinks, we were told that there was no outside seating – except for the small balcony in our room, a disappointment. Though the hotel was almost empty we were provided with a room that faced a backyard and hillside rather than the side facing the beautiful valley – it was almost as if the staff did not want any foreigners to stay there. Overall a very unsatisfying stay.

Our family of two adults and two kids 6 and 8 years spent one week in this great hotel. We had a package including breakfast and dinner as well as ski passes for 6 days in an apartment room with separate bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room. We had an all in price that I really consider great value for money!
Everything was very smooth and effective. We received our ski passes when we checked in and decided what to eat for dinner every morning. The hotel is fairly small and even though it was fully booked when we were there I cannot say it was crowded.
The hotel is very elegant and maybe a bit to designed for my taste when skiing I prefer a bit more rustic environment.
After being in Jasna for a week I’m convinced that this hotel has the best location of all accommodations in this ski resort. The slope is literally outside the door and you can choose to go down the easy slope for a try run or you can take a lift up towards the top of the mountain. There is also a small shop in the hotel where you can rent ski equipment. The after ski bar in the hotel is ok but a bit too loud music price wise however it is very good value for money.
The pool in the hotel is good for kids and for a beer in the sauna after a day in the slopes. I can recommend rooms with windows towards the slope for example 107 or 108. There is a refrigerator and dining table in the apartment rooms. Remember to bring drinks and snacks etc. to the hotel. There is no grocery store within walking distance and it is very troublesome to use the car once at the hotel.

We spent a couple of days in this "Ski Boutique" Hotel, how they call it and it was worth it. We really enjoyed big room with a nice view and also nice and kind staff. Me personally the Ski Bar was great, top location - 10 metres from the slope! I can only recomend the stay in this nice hotel.
