Really enjoyed our stay. Friendly and helpful staff. We got the GoPass and booked through the hotel which I'd recommend as the price included the cable car to Chopok and Tatralandia which was great value. The hotel is situated near the cable car so very easy to access and loads of walking trails around. The room was very well furnished. Spa was good, 2 outdoor hot tubs, 2 saunas in the outdoor area and a further 2 steam rooms and sauna indoors. Food was delicious, all the dinner options were tasty and a good selection at breakfast. We'd definitely stay again.

Strong positives are; great location beside lift, excellent spa and wellness and rooms are OK. The restaraunt food is ok if you use the a la carte menu instead of the buffet. It could probably be argued that it qualifies for 4 stars but the service was so poor I just can't. Before going, I tried 3 times to arrange ski hire and ski school through the hotel for a large number of people and found the hotel completely unhelpful. When I got there I found they had a ski rental shop on site that they did not even put me in contact with. Checking in took two hours with numerous mix up but to be fair, they did sort it out eventually and we're apologetic. What I can not understand however is the incredible rudeness of some of the evening staff in the restaraunt. I have never experienced staff treating customers the way they did. I accept there are staff problems with covid but it was quite unacceptable. Otherwise I would give this hotel 4 stars.

We stayed at this hotel for a few days. Big shock is the hall to the rooms. It still looks like in the year it was built. From the inside the room was big enough and looks newer. We only slept there. Well until like 4:30 am when sun starts to shine and it woke you up because of short curtains. The problem was the room was not so clean as you expect from 4* hotel..Even after we asked service to clean our room, the dirt took its place exactly were it was for the first time, so they probably only changed the bathroom stuff. Anyways the food was amazing as we are used to from TMR resorts.

We are not first time there, but first time we have got very bad bed, it's imposible to sleep, every move bed has many sounds like cheap hostel bed, not 4☆ hotel. So all week we will be without sleep.. till 2024.01.27
Next shower also old as hotel, doesn't work.. shower today as manager said will be fixed (I hope).
We are really disappointed of the quality, because after skiing we need to have good quality sleep

This hotel was quite a dissapointment to us. Very high price but low service. Room is tiny, doesnt have enough space to store your clothes. House keeping was the worst i ever experienced. They came only once during our 4 nights stay, i put picture how they make bed in 4* hotel. Only one person in reception, so when we needed something, had to wait 20 minutes in line.also hotel is quite large and has really small dinning hall, sometimes you have to wait to get free table. Breakfast was ok, nothing to complain about, dinner was very dissapointing. When they ran out of something, it took another half an hour to refill. They also employ students from ukraine that doesnt understand the language, so sometimes you have to point like an idiot to get what you want. Wellness that can only be used only for an hour and with prior reservation. Kids corner was just an empty room with not a single toy. Definitely not worth the money.

Guys, I just found time capsule, go to Grand Hotel in Jasna and you can travel back in time. Please note, before entering this property, tune hotel telepathic channel.

Dear general manager, this is not complain but promotion of your retro business. You should defo charge more for standard room, 160e is not much for taking clients back to 80s.

I stayed in most of TMR hotels but these rooms on the 4th floor, emergency exit stairs or reception brings so much memories from my childhood. If I look back, I believe even my dorm on UNI had more charm. You can get to rooms only with left lift through the smelly corridor. It’s like getting to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry through the tunnel. Rooms are small with highly situated windows and old no properly clean shower corner where you need to step up 20cm to get there. Here is a great news, you never mix body, hair or hand cleaning products– there is only one. Blinking light bulb even highlights the magic moment of your wonderful investment.

Check-in was so easy, sad faced receptionist informed us about opening hours of the facilities, but not where to find them. After I saw the room, I understood why she was so sad, must be hard to send somebody to this room. Sort of punishment for her. I wonder, do they have raffle, who will tell it to customer?

We used crowded spa, but you can expect this during high peak season. No complain. There are many saunas to choose from and after 7 it goes very quiet. It is nice and outdoor part was amazing. Somebody took, I would say by mistake, my bathrobe with room key. Maybe he thought that it is an invisible coat. I guess it worked as I haven’t seen him after. I informed spa staff and asked reception for new room key. Are you going to be surprised if I write down that I was asked to pay for the room key card? Apparently I suppose to leave key on hotel or spa reception. I wasn’t even told where the spa is located, not mentioning what to do. Then I realized, it was my mistake for not paying attention during telepathic instructions from sad receptionist while I was checking in.

Ohh I love food, in front of the hotel restaurant I was greeted by hostess with very heavy head holding it up with hand leaning on the table. Must be difficult to carry around such a big brain. Poor thingy. Don't forget, you need to greet her first to get to restaurant. In most of the 4* hotel restaurants you are seated or at least instructed to take any available table. But heavy head hostess was busy holding her head and I couldn’t tune in telepathic hotel channel again. I said, I will try harder during breakfast. Chef Lady serving the food was sooo nice, I thought for a while she is a hostage in this property, would you believe that she was smiling all eve. Seriously smiling. Food was great.

Central heating is regulated by hotel and over the radiators is a wooden cover screwed to the wall so if you hot, u can open window, cold you close it, warm open it again… Love idea of hotel night warm up exercise that gets you fit for morning skiing. If you are not sporty - receptionist advice is to call down and handyman will come and ‘unscrew the wooden over meter high and long cover fance’ so you can regulate the radiator temperature yourself. Like this picture in the middle of the night. But hey, here is the magic. I was told that maintenance doesn’t work overnight so maybe only call will unscrew it itself.

Call reception, hmmm again use telepathic channel if you don’t want to walk down. Phone didn’t work in the room, I believe this is for your convenience, so you are not disturbed by anybody.

Dear GM, thx for an opportunity to be part of your world of wonder.

If we knew the truth about this hotel before we booked it, we would never stay there! There are many other, much nicer opportunities in the area. We booked the hotel based on their website and some reviews we read here, although now I know I should pay more attention to the negative ones. Don’t get surprised if you get an accomodation of a max. 2-stars standard instead of 4-star, especially in high season this can easily happen! We got a room on 4th floor which was the only floor that hasn’t been renovated. And you could literally smell it already in the corridor, the smell was really horrible!!! The ugly, old, smelly carpet with bears pictures on it led us to our not so smelly room. BUT what a dissapointment it was for me when I realized the room does not look like anything I´ve seen on their website. When I came down to reception complaining about the room they told me the photo of the room is on their website and they showed it to me – this was however very well hidden so that someone can´t find it very easily if you really don´t try hard. Of course, website was absolutely not mobile optimised so when we tried to look it up again on our cell phones, we didn’t find it at all. I really think this is very misleading and they are cheating customers on purpose! How could this be 4-star hotel? If Grand hotel Jasna declares the hotel is of a 4-star standard, ALL OF THE ROOMS SHOULD HAVE IT, not just some of them!!!!!!!!! And they should not try to tell people it´s because the other rooms are deluxe and are bit more expensive. Of course, if someone pays extra, he expects to receive something in addition. BUT this is not even comparable, is absolutely unfair and disrespectful towards customers. Our room looked like an old college hostel and even if the standard was supposed to be lower, they cant declare these rooms are part of 4-star hotel, it didn’t even feel like you are staying at the same hotel – in case you are brave enough to book this hotel, go and get your own experience - have a look on the 3rd floor and then go on the 4th floor (corridor is sufficient) – and you will realize how true this review is! I´m not going into the details about the rooms and corridor, you can see it on the pictures I attached to this review.

There were some other shortcomings of this hotel although nothing would beat our bad feeling from the room we got.

The hotel declares it´s family friendly – just to give you an idea, this means there is a huge playground in the lobby so you can easily get an impression you entered the kindegarten. I like children but this was way too much, they occupied everything from reception, lobby, bar and restaurant and were of course very noisy because nobody cared – nor their parents nor the hotel staff.

When it comes to food – we had half-board and the breakfast were quite nice. The dinner was ok but nothing special.

Staff were mostly nice and smiling.

I´m sure gentlemen from J&T who own this and tens of other hotels in Slovakia would never lay their heads on these beds because they know this is NOT A 4-STAR HOTEL!!!

We stayed in this hotel for our skiing holidays. The hotel's location is just on the slope with cabin-lift beside the hotel which is briliant in winter or summer. The hotel is fully reconstructed and refurbished, always kept clean. Spa was amazing, especially jacuzzis which are in the exterior and you can be watching night sky while relaxing in there. I would apppreciate if spa was also open in the morning. All the hotel staff was extremely helpful and very kind (except one person in spa) and would do anything for you. Breakfast and dinner buffet was really of a varied choice which I was impressed by. There is a new night club just beside and lots of restaurants in the area where one can get food of traditional slovak cuisine or european dishes as well. I will be definitely back again.

otel is in a beautiful location in the heart of the nature, just a short walk from the cable car. Beautiful caves and other natural attractions are nearby. Directly in front of the hotel is the bus station from/to Lipovsky Mikulas (Eurocity Railway Station) - buses run daily about every 90 minutes.

We had a lot of problems during our stay - the quality of rooms, problems with cleanliness, frequent queues so 30 min. in the reception, completely unusable wifi internet access in the rooms, poorly functioning staff in the restaurant, etc. Maybe we were really unlucky, but many shortcomings of a sudden I did´nt a very long time.

Very nice and tasteful is the Deluxe rooms design, on the contrary, is entirely impersonal is lobby bar - recalls the atmosphere of the railway station hall. Another positives are ladies staff on the front desk - at their absolute overload is amazing how professional and friendly approach they have. About this worse are meetings with the manager on duty - only as do you to know that all deficiencies management knows? :) This hotel just tested how much negatives their guests can withstand. Because inexperienced guests are afraid to speak up about problem with staff - this hotel it successfully exploits.

In my opinion it is overpriced hotel whose quality and service are far below this price level. Perhaps it would to be interesting to see whether in time everything will get better.

Dear "metropolisPRG", at first we would like to thank you for writing review about your stay in our hotel. We are glad that you have described good and worse sides of our hotel in your review. Our hotel is located in the heart of Demanovska valley and national park Low Tatras, which is one of the most beautiful national parks in Slovak republic. The location of our hotel is very suitable as a starting point of many tourist´s routes. We already noticed your problems and we would like to ensure you that we have worked hard on everything which you have described in your review and also in your letter which we have already replied. We also would like to thank you that you have appreciated our staff in front desk service and the style of deluxe mountains rooms. Again we would like to affirm a statement that our staff or managment have no contemplation to feel our guests unwelcome. We are always doing our best to treat our guests and we would never presume on "inexperience" of our guests. We would be really delighted if you decide to visit our hotel once again in future and we can prove our treatment on the right level. Yours sincerely, Petra

I personally have never been to "Aquapark Tatralandia". As far as I know, it is near the town of Liptovský Mikuláš (about 5 km.) How to get from the hotel to the aquatic complex? Or with your own car; it could be a public transport between the 2 points, or ... on foot (about an hour's walk)
