Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

de Barra Lodge is a lovely B and B with modern amenities. Best full Irish breakfast you've ever had! The rooms and bathrooms are clean and modern. The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful. She was able to get us a difficult reservation at a local restaurant.Lovely place.

This property is stunning - impeccably clean, gorgeous countryside views and very modern. We were greeted by name on arrival by Sinead, and made to feel at home very quickly. Our room was very private, bright, spacious and modernly decorated. Its only a 5 minute drive from the main town but even so we were treated to a lift from Sinead to where we needed to go so that we could leave our car at the B&B! Plenty of parking on site. Breakfast is served in a beautiful and bright room, and there is no way that you will leave hungry with the selection of food. Clonakilty pudding being a plus :-) Thank you Sinead for our stay which was too short - we will just have to return again for a little get away.

Absolutely wonderful stay, spacious room, plentiful and varied breakfast, stunning location and even a beautiful golden retriever for an optional pat. The hosts were full of local knowledge and happy to accommodate any request.

For us it was one of the most beautiful B&B in Irland. When we arrived at the deBarra Lodge, we got a warm welcome from Sinead, a wonderful person who makes all to feel great at this lovely Loge. We loved our room with a beautiful country view..... and it was so quiet. Sinead prepared a delicious breakfast with a plenty of choise, fresh fruit and self made bread. We enjoyed it so much, a top start for the day all morning. Also their suggestions for Restaurants and view points were very helpfully...thanks a lot Sinead and Dan. They are having a golden hand to give the whole house a tasteful decor. When we come back to Irland, we will come back for shure to this beautiful B&B.

My wife and I recently stayed at this lovely Lodge. From beginning to end we were made very welcome. The rooms are lovely the breakfasts lovely and my dietary needs catered for. My poached eggs were lovely from the hens on site. This family run lodge is very welcoming and you are made to feel very special like family including the family dog whose really a dote. Breakfast was a lovely experience as was our rooms for comfort and sleeping in. My wife and the owner had great craic together. Really if you're touring or with family I thoroughly recommend you put these guys on your itinery you won't be disappointed. Revs paul and Caroline burns Larne northern ireland.

From the moment we arrived at deBarra Lodge we were made to feel so welcome. We had a lovely spacious room with a beautiful view of the surrounding country side. The room and bathroom were modern and spotless. The breakfast was fantastic with plenty of choice, it was served in a bright spacious dining room. The owners of deBarra Dan and Sinead are what makes staying here so special you feel like a friend visiting rather than a guest....and their suggestions of local places to visit are fantastic. We will be back for sure.

We were attending an event in Clonakilty and the loge was on 11mins away. Nice setting at the back of Rosscarberry and quiet. The house and rooms are beautiful and home full. The couple running it are nice and friendly. I'd definitely stay there again.

We arrived wet, cold and miserable at Debarra Lodge on one of the most awful days of the summer. We were given a warm greeting by the owners of this lovely B&B and were shown to our spacious family room, decorated in golden colours, which comfortably fitted 1 double and two single beds. We also had use of a guest sitting room, where you could watch TV, make tea and coffee (nespresso) and eat the homemade scones, etc. The next morning we woke up and found we were surrounded by amazing views of the countryside. A great breakfast and a lovely ‘Bean an Ti’. We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed the luxury very much. We will definitely stay here again when we go back to Rosscarbery to enjoy the amazing restaurant scene there.
