Nestled between the lake, the local hotel and close to all amenities is the Tarraleah campsite. Clean powered and unpowered sites are available and there are plenty of activities for all including a kids playground, feeding the cows and ducks, or doing one of the many walks surrounding the town. You can also book in for one of the guided fishing, kayaking or cycling tours through reception. The local pub offers modern bistro style food and and a selection of local and international wines and beers. Teez cafe is just around the corner and offers great coffee, hot breakfast and a selection of cakes, rolls, quiches and pies throughout the day.

We stayed in a cabin which was comfortable, well equipped and clean. The restaurant and cafe were extremely well run, the food top quality and the staff very hospitable. Of all the places weve stayed in Tassie this is the first to get full points.

Second time in past 4 years visiting Tarraleah in the central highland in Tasmania. Pros for the adventurous there is lots of life be in it activities like kayaking, golf and bush walks. You can also feed the highland cows which was fun. Excellent restaurant...More
