Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a fabulous family stay in the hotel family apartments, they were spacious and perfect for our family of 6. The reception staff were lovely and friendly. The pool was warm and the best we have been in as a family. Only downfall was the price of the kids menu, for example 12 euro is expensive for a kids burger and chips, other then that it's perfect. There's super value around the corner,it's a lovely clean hotel, hopefully we will be back, it's priced very well too.

Stayed in hotel for my nieces wedding and had a fantastic time. The rooms were lovely and spacious although a little warm during the current heatwave. Aircon would have been appreciated. Staff were so nice and friendly throughout the hotel. Service was excellent and the food was very good. The beds were large and very comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel.

Two night stay, for daughter's wedding. From the moment we walked into Reception, we were treated like Royalty (and I hadn't even mentioned I was Father-of-the-Bride!). All the staff here are fantastic, and I mean that so I'll say it again, fantastic! Reception staff, Bar staff, Restaurant staff and Housekeeping staff. Whoever you meet will smile and ask how you are. If you ask for something, "no problem!" its dealt with quickly, politely and with a smile. My room was a suite (lucky me, eh?). It was enormous! Beautifully furnished and a fine big antique looking bed - which was very comfy. Didn't avail of any room services, as we were too busy mingling. My other family members had 'ordinary' rooms, but they too were very impressed by the rooms, in terms of size, cleanliness and comforts. First night in, we had a meal in the bar, lovely food and efficient and friendly service to a table of ten. We were looked after by a very polite and helpful young lady named Elaine. On the day of the Wedding, the service to the tables was flawless, everything worked like clockwork. The food was delicious and served piping hot. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day, so it has to be acknowledged that the staff played a major role in that. Finally, I had dealings on multiple occasions at Reception, with Fi. To Fi, nothing was too much trouble, and everything was done with a smile and a 'You're Welcome'. On Sunday I arrived home and realised I had forgotten a leather belt, even though I checked all the drawers and under the bed after we packed (obviously not well enough). I rang Fi straight away and she said she'd chase it up. Sure enough, Fi rang me today to say it was found and wanted to send it on. I have decided to drive back with my wife to have lunch there and collect the belt, as its such a nice place. I have absolutely no reservation (pun intended!) in recommending the Westgrove Hotel.

Due to covid we had our anniversary visit pushed back. The Westgrove was more than accommodating when it came to fulfilling this element of our wedding package. Superior suite with complimentary dinner and breakfast. Could not thank the hotel enough for a great service as always. Excellent hosts when catering for a wedding party and would highly recommend for service, location and value. Thank you so much for all you have done for us.

Great stay, staff super friendly, carolyn in reception lovely, especially to my boys. Pool can get busy around aqua aerobics class time but we planned around that, and separate baby pool which was handy.

We really had a great time, on arrival the reception staff were very friendly. The house staff, the breakfast staff , the chefs. The bar staff & the manager of the bar. To say the least my husband David wanted to surprise me for our 45th wedding anniversary as I’m a health care assistant it worked out very well. I have no problem recommending the Westgrove Hotel to everyone it worked for us. Thank you all so much ❤️

Lovely hotel, each and every staff member we encountered was friendly, from check to, to bar and restaurant, and Leisure Centre. Had a great family room on 3rd floor, very quiet, plenty of space. We ate dinner both nights in restaurant, really good food and loved that the kids menu wasn't all sausages and chips. Beautiful pool, water lovely and warm, with fab bench seating around the perimeter, steam room was great too. We went off to the Kildare Maze one of the days, really enjoyed it, worth a visit too. Kids already asking when we're going back, hopefully it won't be too long, as I'm looking forward to it myself already.
