Wonderful day trip from Kaiserslautern, Germany; Beautiful scenery with a large selection of hiking and skiing trails. The snow piles up quickly as early as October and the highways are always clear. Great souvenir shop were the staff is multilingual.

The location was great, the rooms and bathrooms were clean, large and spacious and the breakfast included was plentiful and varied. The hotel has a lovely outlook over the lake and several gift shops attached to it and on the other-side of the car park - perfect for picking up any souvenirs of the region. When I was checking out,...

Stopped here and made a day of it. Walked around the lake, read about the various myths and enjoyed the view. Try the black forest cake, and get some black forest ham while you are there. Very enjoyable day, and nice people.

Great views and nice food in the middle of the black forest. Driving there is really fun and once you arrive it's worth to sit down and eat some "wursts". There is a small part of the terrace which is in the middle of the lake ..be the one to grab it and enjoy your meal in a very exclusive...

The rooms with balcony overlooking the lake are immaculate and have a great view of the lake and surrounds. Hotel is right across the road of a scenic point overlooking the Black Forrest and is a great stop point along the Schwarzwald Hochstraße B500. Dinner and breakfast at this hotel was also outstanding. The wellness and sauna area are spacious...

Nice hotel in a great location...very busy area during the day but dies out after 6pm. Despite the Hotel being advertised as having a Bar in fact they cant tell you if the bar will be open during the evening ! This is no way to run a hotel. It is not as if there is anywhere nearby you can...

The Mummelsee was the perfect place for a weekend getaway in the Black forest! On our arrival on the Saturday, the area around the lake was nice and lively, filled with day visitors, stopping by for a beer and a piece of black forest cake. They also offer small boats to go for a row on the small lake. Around...

Stopped on a motorcycle ride through the Black Forest. They have a good selection of German wurst, which you can enjoy outside by the small lake. It's a lovely setting, but was a bit crowded. Definitely touristy.

We only came for the view and decided to stay for [not so] quick desert snack. They have very nice deserts mired by slow and unprofessional service. Cappuccino arrived before we finished placing an order, which was already changed to ice coffee and we got an attitude for it. Cake arrived before ice coffee. Awfully unprofessional. Enjoy the lake, walk,...

Mummelsee was one of the stop in our itinerary and I did not stay overnight at Berghotel. The hotel looks cool with its country charm and it appears to be a good place for conventions and retreats. It backs onto the Lake Mummelsee which is peaceful and tranquil and next to it is a sizeable shop that sells lots of...
