This is the story: We found plumita on Airbnb, looks nice and close to the beach (this is true), but you cant reserve by airbnb, the owner ask you to email him and then send you a paypal link to pay 50% for the reservation. I was ok with that. When we arrive, Gary (the owner) was nice and kind, introduced us to the apartment and asked us inmediatly for a card to make the other 50% payment. This is when everything go badly too fast. The first thing you notice in the apartment is the smell, ls like a old place with no ventilation. Then, you begin to notice that its a place where dont used to clean: -Old pieces of food in the floor around the kitchen -The fan sounds very loud -Drawers in the kitchen are really dirty -The oven and the microwave oven has mold inside -Spiderwebs on the little closet. So we told Gary we dont want to stay, he ask us to let him clean it but we though was not enough, so, asked him our money back and don make a bigger problem, but he say was going to refund us just the 50%. I am still asking by email to give my other 50% back. So, if you are going to visit Junquillal, keep looking, there are amazing airbnb with the same price. Also, i saw it too late, but the comments in tripadvisor are by the same people…

Best location ever! Right on the beach, and a great beach it was, with manageable surf, occasional horseback tours, and a turtle sanctuary within a short walk. Our host was friendly, efficient, informative, and available as he lived upstairs over his three rental units. Our unit had everything for comfort, including...unheard of...a garbage disposal! Good appliances made cooking in easy, and there were several very good restaurants within walking distance. A store was within a short drive, and Santa Cruz is only a half hour away for more extensive food shopping. Late in the day we could take a glass of wine over to the beach and watch the sunset, always hoping to see a green flash. Between the house and the beach was a gorgeous grove of coconut palms, and on a day when a crew was there to harvest the coconuts one of the men cut a hole in the top of one with his machete, to access the coconut milk, and brought it to me. Next door, a family of three adult renters were busy with day trips, but we were happy to stay put for our one week there. We were happy basking in the immediate surroundings, strolling on the beach, playing in the surf, and reading on our terrace. Our unit had an efficient air conditioner and a big oscillating fan. We would highly recommend Plumita Pacifica to anyone traveling that way.…

If you crave peaceful and serene then you belong here. Gary provides a great apartment, just feet to the beach. Restaurants within walking distance, a 5 star restaurant a short cab ride away. Surfing and food close as well as a market for groceries. Tours and adventure provided by TPV Excursions. Everyone knows everyone and helpful and friendly.i spent 18 days by myself, a woman, felt safe and came home after making new friends. I highly recommend Plumita Pacifica as a wonderful place to vacation and getaway from realty. Escape and Enjoy! Liz 1-1-2020

We love staying at plumita. Gary was very friendly and knowledge of the area was helpful. The beach so close you can hear it from bed and beautiful sunsets. Liked the restaurant's around it. And the beach very fishable( if you love fishing) . Only drawbacks could use a little update and the people hanging out at nite by the beach.

We stayed at Gary's little piece of paradise, Plumita Pacifica) to celebrate our 35th anniversary and completely loved it. When we arrived we had a nice conversation with Gary and gave us the lay of the land and location of the restaraunts. He is a very nice host and has lots of funny stories! We will go again and we are even thinking about making it happen next year! We really enjoyed the beach and water because there was hardly anyone around. It is not in a resort area so the atmosphere is laid back. We cannot say enough good things about our time at Plumita Pacifica!
