Make no mistake, this is not a resort/spa where you never leave the hotel grounds... This is a fantastic Costa Rica experience. The cabinas are spacious and comfortable, the pool is refreshing. The rain forest is alive and home to howlers, iguanas, and all types of birds, squirrels, and frogs. Breakfast is not simply a donut and juice... In fact it starts with fresh fruit, homemade yogurt, local honey, followed by your choice of banana pancakes or eggs with beans and rice. The beach is a pleasant walk (less than a quarter of a mile) and is a beautiful sand beach with incredible waves and at low tide, very active tide pools full of fish and other living creatures. The owners Lieke and Michael have chosen to hire mostly locals, assist them with school to improve their English

I can't say enough. We have stayed here 4 different times and will continue to go back. The cabanas are large, unique and comfortable. Lots of wildlife. The location is peaceful and you feel like you are somewhere special. The food is the best and Leike and Michael are fabulous. I feel like family. Just to name a few things to see and do: Snorkel at Playa Blanca at low tide which is just a walk away. Walk to the tide pools to the south at low tide and see amazing marine life, collect shells or sit in one of the pools of crystal clear water. Hold and release baby turtles into the ocean at sunset. Just a walk away. Catamaran snorkel tour with Marlin Del Rey out of Tamarindo. We saw whales, turtles, shark, octopus and much more snorkeling. The sunset tour is beautiful.

Enjoyed two nights at this Eco gym. Friendly family owned and run by Leyka, Michal, and two wonderful cats! Outstanding service and food. Very romantic setting with close encounters with wildlife. Close to the beach and town. Can't wait to visit agin!

We loved the food and atmosphere so much went for dinner twice! We were stayed down the road at a condo rental and we wished we were staying at their hotel. The food was delicious and fresh. Healthy and vegetarian options, as well as sea food. They also accommodated my daughter's picky tastes. The setting felt like classic beach setting. The owners Lieke and Michiel made us feel very welcome and at home. The young waiter was very attentive and friendly as well. Hope to be back on our next trip to Costa Rica!

For anyone who is longing for some time off the tourist trail, this place is highly recommended. The cabinas are situated in a lush green tropical garden, all with a private terrace and views on the green trees and bushes. The peace and quiet is overwhelming, only to be "disturbed" by the sounds of birds, gekkos and distant waves of the ocean. For me it was the perfect start of a month of travel throughout Costa Rica, but I can also see how it would be a nice last stop before getting back to the hustle and bustle of your home town and / or work. Or a welcoming intermezzo in the middle of your trip. In other words, everyone has a good reason to go there, and you won't regret it! There is lots to see in the area, so for those who want to be active there is also plenty to do. I
