Whilst I appreciate this page is in relation to the bed and breakfast part of the property as the self catering cottage is part of it I have put the review on here................................ Situated in the small village of Bassenthwaite this is a lovely cosy cottage well positioned to visit the Northern Lakes which are all within easy reach. Keswick...

We stayed at Little Orchard Thursday to Saturday for a friend's wedding nearby. Brian and Ann were extremely welcoming - tea and lovely bics by the fire on our arrival and a warm welcome to their lovely home. We had an en suite, which was compact but with a lovely comfy bed and very clean - and the most fabulous...

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at this very small B&B. Anne and Brian are perfect hosts and provide a wealth of ideas for things to do in the area. The double ensuite is perfect with a small, but modern bathroom and a wonderful view in the morning. Last, but not least, the fantastic breakfast keeps you going all...

We stayed two nights in the smaller double bedroom. I wasn't expecting a view, as none is mentioned for this room on their website, but the outlook is a glorious panorama over mountainous scenery. Brian and Anne are friendly and helpful, and provide a large breakfast served in a characterful dining room. Definitely somewhere I would like to return to....

Bryan and Anne could not have been more welcoming or helpful during out stay at their lovely B&B. Their home is clean and comfortable, Anne cooks a wonderful breakfast with hearty portions and the en-suite room was so lovely, the view is second to none. I would highly recommend this B&B to family and friends. We stayed here for a...

Probably the cleanest house I've ever been to! Brian & Anne made us feel right at home. Brian is also the taxi driver so we did not have to worry about getting home from the pub! Woke up to view of Skiddaw & an amazing breakfast. Well done X

Stayed at the B&B while attending a recent wedding at Armathwaite Hall. Ann and Brian are very welcoming. We stayed in the nice en suite room with a lovely breakfast. Brian also went out of his way to pick us up at the end of the night which was really appreciated. Similar to other posts I would recommend this lovely...

Pretty , quiet , comfortable , and very sociable host. Despite its small size Bassenthwaite village spreads quite a way out into the countryside , so finding the B&B could be a challenge even with a satnav, but persistence pays. Delightful location overlooking distant misty hills. Bedroom was compact, with en-suite facilities, usual nick-knacks , and very comfy bed. Good...

I never write reviews but thought I would make an exception for Little Orchard B&B. It really was a wonderful place. From the warm welcome, to the pot of tea on arrival, to the homely touches in the room, to the stunning views, to the wonderful hospitality, to the generous, perfectly cooked and well presented breakfast... Everything was perfect. A...
