We stayed here on 7th June and, despite Lockdowns, this was our 7th visit in three years. We were married here in 2018 and this time around we were celebrating my husband's 50th birthday. We loved sitting out with afternoon drinks enjoying the amazing view. Dinner in the restaurant was once again delicious and the service was flawless. The next morning we had a lovely breakfast before heading to the spa facilities and a two course lunch later on. We will be back again later this year.

A lovely hotel, fabulous spa and the best venue we could have chosen for our Wedding. The wedding organisers Sarah and Phillipa where fantastic organising every little detail and we felt thoroughly well looked after. The hotel itself , grounds and views are wonderful. We will return for many anniversaries I am sure , they made our day everything we hoped for.

A trip had been planned here in the week leading up to the initial lockdown. So, it was put off - the hotel was generally good in communicating what was going on and finally we made the trip in May. We had a lovely room in the old part of the hotel with a wonderful wee balcony for looking across Bassenthwaite Lake. The food was excellent and the service standards were high. Thoroughly enjoyed our session in the spa. The only slight negative was there was one or two examples in the room where dusting had not gone on for a while. But overall, very good and we would recommend without hesitation.

Lovely hotel second time we stayed. Fabulous staff and so helpful We booked for 3 nights but had to leave as the tier changed. The evening meal was fabulous and our friends had the next table to us. We had beef and our friends had the such. Our server was polite and attentive It was our last meal out for a while. I used the gym and pool which had an excellent wet room. The owner Simon took time to speak to us and had interesting stories to tell. Breakfast was good and served to us. We will be back
