Had a lovely relaxing weekend in the cottage, a great base for exploring the lakes. Our little girl loved playing in the beck and feedng the ducks. Such a peaceful place to holiday and get away from it all. Had a good meal at the Sun Inn just a 2 minute walk from the cottage. Can't wait to visit agan.

We stayed in Brook House Cottage 1,and for our family of five adults and three children under four years old it was the icing on the cake. We had just been to our son's wedding in Derwent Water and because we were travelling such a long way we decided to stay on after the wedding and have a holiday in... More

Clean and comfortable with all the mod cons we needed as well as a nice open fireplace. Mrs Trafford, the owner, was a welcoming host and very pleasant, making... More

These cottages are idyllically situated in a quiet picturesque village opposite a stream. Alison, (the owner), allowed our 7 year old daughter to let the ducks out in the mornings who would waddle to the stream and food provided. This year there were ducklings which we were allowed to handle. We stayed at Rebecca cottage. It has a lovely bathroom... More

We stayed in The Nest which was a small, cosy and characterful cottage by a stream. Excellently situated for a walk up Skiddaw via Ullock Pike and 10 min walk from good bus connections to Keswick. Alison answered all our questions promptly and made our stay very pleasant.

We stayed in the Rebecca cottage which was lovely, it had a well equipped kitchen, great bathroom and was very clean - also had a lovely view of mount skiddaw. It was great seeing the ducks and the friendly dogs! Definitely will return in the summertime.
