Booked as trip advisor looked good. Day before we observed people eating in dining room at front of place. Looked inviting. We were shown into a a dismal conservatory in the back of the place. The food was served cold and very average. Such a shame . The place has potential to be really nice.

The Steam Packet situated just down the road from where we stayed in a self catering accommodation is a most welcoming place; not only is the food good, the staff are very pleasant, the customers are friendly and chatty and the views are picturesque. Its a very busy pub so that in it self tells you just how good it...

Reliving my wife's memories of family and friends as they originally came from that area, we popped into the Steam Packet for a light lunch which was good quality. The staff were pleasant and willing to please.. Would not hesitate to recommend.

A first class lunch: I had haddock and chips, freshly cooked and very tasty, my husband had a seafood platter which was beautifully presented and included a wide variety of fish accompanied by lovely bread. That was more than enough to satisfy our hunger but we couldn't resist the cheesecake and each managed to demolish the ample portion of homemade...

My wife & I booked to stay here for 7 nights in August, having eaten here before while visiting friends who live locally. A bit of a mixed bag really. The location & views are beautiful , the staff are very helpful & friendly, & the meals, especially the breakfasts are excellent. However, the room we had was very dated,...

We were recommended the steam packet by a local shop we called in to yesterday, the food was absolutely amazing and was well worth the money, I just regret not having enough room in my belly to sample the desserts, the staff were very friendly and nothing seemed to much :) we felt very welcome, and wish we had come...

Visited this pub/restaurant and was the worst place we have visited so far! The bar person was ignorant and rude! No please or thank you when we ordered drinks. Turned away and put his hand out to me to receive payment without looking at me whilst serving next customer. No info about beer although there was an extensive selection.. Felt...

We stayed here Sept 2015 we had a huge bedroom with a picture window overlooking the harbour. We watched the evening sunset and woke to a sunny morning with...

Two adults and three kids walked into a bar... We had a great fish dinner in a lovely family pub with a bright airy dining area and prompt friendly service. A little wander around the harbour afterwards with a play on the swings. A lovely lunch.
