Stayed for a couple of days to do a bit of cycling.
Weather was very good but the hotel staff made it a stay to remember. Some of the staff were just starting (post lockdown) but everyone was friendly and helpful, with special mention to Maureen in the breakfast room . Would definitely recommend for a short break in this beautiful part of the Highlands
I recently stayed at the hotel for a long weekend with my husband two young children. We had meant to been staying elsewhere but due to Covid restrictions that was not possible. We had a lovely family room that had a separate area for the children which was very helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. The shower is powerful and d hot. We ate in the restaurant on the first night and we had a lovely meal. The menu had a good variety of choices and we all enjoyed our meals. The staff are very friendly and kind. Breakfast was included and due to Covid it was table service. It was efficiently run and the food was good. I have stayed in a number of hotels in aviemore and never been impressed with them. This hotel was the best of the ones we have stayed in and we have a very enjoyable stay. The decor is slightly dated ( not in our bedroom but the halls etc) but the friendly service and bedrooms makes up for it
We were married at the Nethybridge Hotel last weekend on Saturday 1st May. The staff and in particular the manager made this experience truly the best day of my life!
I have never come across such excellent customer service at a hotel. Eva worked incredibly hard to ensure everything not only ran smoothly on the day but to her very high standards. Firstly the decor of the main wedding room - the revack suite far outweighs any wedding room I’ve seen in the top hotels in Inverness. The room is nothing short of stunning. Eva has an eye for interior design and the refurbished bedrooms are very lovely.
Evas attention to detail did not go unnoticed and she offers little touches that many competitor hotels do not, little things like petals on the red carpet, beautiful table centrepieces, a piper and nibbles in the bride and grooms room. All these little extras made it really special. She had thought and taken care of so much- it made the day a lot less stressful for me.
The communication between the hotel and myself leading up to the day was outstanding. I felt important and included and she made every effort to keep in close contact, letting me know of any changes with covid.
The food at the hotel is amazing. All my guests commented on the food. One person said about the children’s food “thank you for ensuring the chicken nuggets were quality chunks of chicken” instead of the usual ‘pub food’ chicken nuggets which barely resemble chicken. I had complex dietary requirements but nothing was too much bother for them and this is not usually the reaction restaurants and hotels have to my complex needs.
The customer service at the hotel is also outstanding, as well as Eva and her assistant manager Lindsay, another member of staff stood out - Hannah. She led the service on my wedding and she was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble, she was very friendly and she was always checking we were happy and didn’t need anything else even down to asking us about the room temp which was perfect. She couldn’t have given better customer service. The rest of my guests commented too on how attentive all the staff were.
My guests commented that it was the best wedding they had attended and this is truly down to Eva and her team. We will be coming back on our anniversary.
Stayed overnight 28th April, first stay after lockdown. What a great job has been done by Nethy Hotel to accommodate guests during these difficult times. As always the staff have done an amazing job catering for their guests and ensuring that all precautions have been taken.
Had a fantastic room overlooking the gardens, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was amazing as always, can’t wait until our next visit.
Thank you again for your professionalism.
Stu and Rob.
The Nethybridge is a lovely old Victorian hotel set in the beautiful forest village. My mum and I first stayed at the hotel in January and I liked it so much I recently returned on a coach trip. As other reviewers have noted yes it is slightly dated in places but that doesn't detract from its charm. My room was warm and comfortable, the bathroom was spotless and I had a lovely views across to the gardens. Breakfast was good, table service of course in these covid times, with a good selection of hot and cold food and even of off the menu items if requested. Dinner was good too even for a vegetarian with a variety of dishes from pasta to savoury tarts and tagines and tasty desserts. It made a change from some hotels that give you variations of the same dish every night. In these times there was of course no music or entertainment but bingo was put on by Hannah for the 3 nights I stayed and everyone had a laugh and a good time. One of the highpoints of any hotel stay are the staff and the Nethybridge's are welcoming and try to make your stay as enjoyable as possible, Hannah and Kyle certainly did. I would have no hesitation in returning to stay.
